  • Nice place - quiet and peaceful

"Stayed with a couple of old college buddies, quiet, peaceful, well-equipped. Owner represents place honestly. Enjoyed the grill and the fire ring in the evenings. A little close to neighbors for me, but they were nice and/or quiet."

  • Absolute Heaven

"We just returned from 9 days of the most amazing stay at this wonderful place. The home itself is filled with love and memories of a family that has decided to share their loving home. The house had everything you could possibly ever need, the kitchen fully equipped, not to mention spotless, the linens were perfect and the view is breathtaking. Whether sitting on the enclosed upstairs porch, which we did on a rainy day or on the downstairs patio, it was truly wonderful. Our dog loved his stay, chasing chipmunks or taking himself for a swim, this was undoubtedly the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. Darlene Turner was an absolute gem in working with us and making us feel so very welcome. She has provided info on the local area and places to visit. You have to check out Sugar Loaf Mountain and Alder Creek. Go into Big Bay and visit Crams General Store, they have the most amazing meat to use on the grill that is part of the home. We have recommended this lovely spot to two of our friends. As a sign says in the house that is dedicated to their family " All because two people fell in love" We will be back as often as we can!"

  • Unforgettable in every way!

"My husband and I had a fantastic time and we hope to make this a yearly tradition. The bed was very comfortable (slept better than I had in years), furniture and temps comfy and cozy. My favorite (other than the spectacular view of the lake from the house, was the pontoon tour (complete with an on-board bathroom. We saw numerous eagles (and their nests!), blue heron, loons, and many other birds and wildlife. Laurie was amazingly knowledgeable about the different species, nesting habits and wildlife habitats. Full moonrise on the water from the pontoon was also a huge highlight. We highly recommend Wilderness Watch for anyone who wants to escape the daily grind and get back to nature to rest and rejuvenate, and we can't wait to get back there this year. We are counting the days."
