  • Hancock Vacation Gem!

"The vacation house was perfect for my family and me. We had a group of 6 and there was plenty of room both inside and out. Also there was ample space for privacy. Place is perfect for 12. Great kitchen and living area. Deck space and entire area outside was awesome. The view of the lake was amazing (inside or out) and we enjoyed fishing each day we were there. I must say the fishing exceeded my expectations as we caught a nice variety of fish (a ton of bass, northerns, catfish, walleye). Great location. Easy access to the town of Hancock and Houghton. The place and area of the UP is 5 stars! The customer service and ease of booking/transaction is an A+ I highly recommend it."

  • UP Getaway

"We stayed for a week, with this being our first time renting a cabin. We found it to be a very relaxing experience and the cabin had a true homey feel to it . We were extremely comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. Our whole group was very happy with the rental. Tom and Diane easy to work with for the rental."

  • Great Place! Great Location!

"I met my Dad and Brother at this vacation rental for a long weekend of fishing. The place was easy to find and very close to the Marina/Bait Shop/Pub/Gas Station. There is plenty of room to park numerous vehicles and trailers. The place was very well kept and fully stocked with the essentials (TP, paper towels, clean sheets and towels, cooking supplies, etc...). All of the utilities were in good working condition. The place has a lot of really cool decorations and is very comfortable. The Cedar River is directly across the road (CR 551). There is also a secluded state park/campground about 5.5 miles up the river. My Dad and I dumped the canoe in at the campground and paddled/fished back to the house. This is a great place to visit/stay if you are looking for serenity and tranquility. The surrounding area is also a great fishery (Salmon, Walleye, Bass, and Pike). The owner made the renting experience very simple and easy. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely return for another stay!"

  • Very comfortable - so much to do!!!

"Our family spent a week at the Heidi Haus in July and had a great time. The cottage is clean, very comfortable, well-stocked, and has the creature comforts of nice beds, laundry, bath, and kitchen. Pictures are accurate. Loft is really large, and kids enjoyed having their own space up there. We enjoyed walking along the beach every morning - and noting the changes in shoreline from the day before. We used the owners canoe in the bay; caught smallmouth bass in the Menomonee River, and some smaller fish in the Cedar River; went bike riding; visited the DeYoung Zoo; went swimming; and had a fire out on the beach. We also brought our ATVs along - there are some really wonderful trails in the area, and we seldom crossed paths with other riders (you can trailer 4 miles to a trailhead, or ATV right off the property - just can't use ATVs on M35). Owners were very helpful in directing us where to register our ATVs in Michigan (only 4 miles away); where to fish; how to get to zoo; etc. For this mom, it was a great alternative to camping - we could do all of the same things, but had access to the comforts and conveniences of cottage."
