"My husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandson and I recently spent a delightful week at Burns Street Cottage. The cottage is just as it appears in the pictures-spacious and clean. The backyard is very pretty with perennials, a picnic table, and a nice fire pit. The owner was prompt in answering our queries, available if needed, and also prompt in returning our damage deposit.
The cottage is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood within walking distance of both downtown and Depot Beach on Lake Charlevoix. We also drove about 2 miles to the McSauba recreation area where there are nature trails, dunes and a beach on Lake Michigan (no lifeguard, lightly populated). It’s also easy to bicycle to the Little Traverse Wheelway trail which runs between Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. My husband and I biked to and from Petoskey one day – 36 miles in all on an awesome trail.
Among its offerings, we enjoyed Charlevoix’s wonderful library, interesting “mushroom houses”, good restaurants, and friendly people. We can definitely recommend both visiting the town and staying at this cottage."

"This house was a prefect fit for our family vacation. The owner has it well stocked for families with cribs, toys and other items that aid in your enjoyment. The house is clean and well maintained. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, but that was not an option."

"Clean private and many enmities including AC. Fair fishing right off the dock in the evening for Smallmouth and a few Perch and Walleye. The beach is very small and hard to access due to a rocky shore so not recommended for young children. Also, even though there is a claim for a boat dock, you cannot use it over night which the owner clearly explains in the welcome email, after you pay your fees. So if you have anything but a small fishing boat to pull up on the shore, you will have to trailer from a good DNR boat launch about as mile away."

"We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin is well taken care of and we had no problems at all. The bonfires were awesome and we had fun fishing on the lake (brought our own boat). Our week stay was quite misty but when it cleared, the view of the lake was amazing! I always received prompt responses if I had questions before our stay and it was very easy to get ahold of the owners during our stay if necessary. Thank you for a great family trip!"
