  • Great Get Away Weekend

"The Cedar Loft was perfect for our family winter break! My husband and 12 year old son had a most wonderful relaxing and Fun weekend! We brought our snowmobiles and cross country skies. It happen to be the coldest weekend ever so cross country was out for us but the Loft was perfect. Very cozy and warm with the wood burner stove. The place has everything you may need. The snowmobile trails are close by and Dianne and Glenn were very helpful to ensure we had maps and quick access to the trails. The snow was great! We went through pines, wooded forests and farm country. Very Beautiful! Especially our return ride one day at dusk. We actually rode head to head with about half dozen dear. Two dear stopped right in the middle of the trail very close to us. We also rode on Lake Michigan! My only complaint was that I did not come prepared with food! There is a full kitchen! We made do and actually had many great meals out in the various close towns near by. My family will surely do this again and soon! We also hope to visit in the summer/fall. Many Thanks to Dianne and Glenn for your generosity and sharing this wonderful property and place with us! Nanette, Tim & Clark"

  • Perfect

"My family has stayed at this cabin the past couple summers for a week each time. This cabin is the perfect place to unwind and relax. You feel like you have the beach to yourself as there is no other cabins directly next to them. The cabin has a cozy feel and it nicely decorated for that "beach" feel and all the amenities are up to date and clean. My daughter loved the nightly sauna each after a full day of playing on the beach, picking blue berries, and hiking. There were many days of seeing bald eagles soaring over the bay looking for fish. The location of the cabin is great. "Town" is about 20 minutes away and there is a great small town ice cream shop there when a treat was needed and there are also plenty of locally owned restaurants with that small town feel. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone that wants to get away from the busy daily life and unwind and relax. We look forward to going back this year. It is clear the owners take pride in the cabin and we thank them for letting us use it."

  • Nice place - quiet and peaceful

"Stayed with a couple of old college buddies, quiet, peaceful, well-equipped. Owner represents place honestly. Enjoyed the grill and the fire ring in the evenings. A little close to neighbors for me, but they were nice and/or quiet."

  • Our Favorite

"This was our second year (there will be a 3rd and more) at this cabin. To be honest I want to be selfish and not leave a review so this place is always available for us to book when we want! But that wouldn't be fair to the hosts. It is clean and well kept. The owners are always making improvements every Spring and Fall and it shows that they care about constantly improving the cabin. When we travel, we usually will stay in a vacation rental and this ranks among the best we've stayed in! The scenery in this area of the UP is stunning. Whether you stay at the cabin and just enjoy the changing moods of Lake Superior (and catch a glimpse of the bald eagles or possibly the Northern Lights) or take a drive through the area we like to call "North of North", you will NOT be disappointed. This cabin is a great place to start from and return to if you chose to go on an excursion. If you want to be comfortable and just relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature surrounding you, this IS the place to stay. Looking forward to staying again next year!"
