  • What a Great Place.

"We stayed from 13-20 July, 2014. Before writing anything let me say the cabin was spotless. Even though it says pet friendly, there was not a hair or smell anywhere. We met 2 of the gals that clean between guests and they mentioned the 2 collies and family that rented just before us and how much hair was left behind. The cleaning gals did a wonderful job. This is a great place to stay. The location is quiet and peaceful. The views are wonderful. It is fairly quick drive to anything you need to buy or if you want to eat . We hope to rent again in the near future. We did not have one issue during the visit."

  • Great Getaway!

"All I can say about this house is that everything is great! For starters, working with Mary was easy and great. She answered all of our questions and provided great local tips. The house itself is great - plenty of room (we had 7 adults and 2 kids and were never cramped). Very clean and comfortable with a spacious kitchen. The beds are comfortable too, which is always a bonus. Great views of the water. The yard is fantastic, perfect for running around and playing games (including the badminton court on site). The beach area was perfect for the little ones to play in the sand. The dock is nice and the water is a nice sandy bottom. The fire pit down by the water was perfect...no bugs and great for smores! Being able to bring the dog was great too! All in all, a great spot that we'd highly recommend!"

  • Trail Wind Lodge

"My husband and I, and our weiner dog, Charley, stayed at the Trail Wind Lodge. We have been home two days, and we are ready to go back. The place was excellent, and the pictures on this web site are right on the mark. If we had only showed up with our towels and tooth brushes, it would have been more than enough. Kevin and his wife thought of everything. I was impressed with how clean the property was inside and out. Even the window sill were clean! There was always hot water and the rooms had no marks or dents, or holes in the wall. We had experienced things like that at other places in the past. These people take pride in their rental. My husband and I enjoyed the motor boat for fishing, even though it was chilly. We fish and we like to go when the temperature is in the 60's. It was great! We recommend this place to people that want a nice quiet get-a-way AND if you are an avid star gazer! Stars were too numerous to count! Breath-taking! The owner also supplies a canoe, kiyak, paddle boat, etc. We can't say enough about how great this place was. We got to meet the owner, and he is as nice and accommodating as he can be. We are definitely planning on going back next year - God willing. Charley too! I would be glad to give people information by email, if the owner is willing to share it. Thanks again Kevin, you and your wife be wonderfully blessed!"

  • Great Up North Cabin for the Entire Family

"This cabin had a little bit of everything. The cabin is on a peninsula with water in the front and back of the house. The views were beautiful! We saw many birds including ducks, eagles, and cranes. The kids loved the paddle boat and swing set. My husband loved that there was plenty of kids life vests and fishing poles. Our weather was somewhat rainy, so I enjoyed that there was so much to do for us and the kids in the cabin: cable, internet, kids toys, kids books, board games and cards. The cabin was clean and very accommodating with lots of comfy seating and beautiful views. Our and our brothers' family rented this cabin as an alternative to staying in a hotel in Marquette while we visited for our sister’s graduation from NMU. We had 10 of us all together and had everything you needed in the kitchen to cook and serve meals. The drive to Marquette was quick and easy. Our trip was only for a long weekend and I feel like there was so much more we could have enjoyed while we were there, I wish we had stayed for a week. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a up north vacation with the family or friends!"
