"We had a great experience on our visit. The CABIN is wonderful with all necessary equipment for cooking and grilling out. The Grand Kids enjoyed the use of the Canoe. Also, cabin was across the cove from my Grand Fathers camp. We enjoyed our exploring walks with entire Family every Morning. A Wonderful UP experience."

"We came here for a family vacation with our 3 girls (Age 2,8,11) in late August/early September. The house was nice, the water was clear and the setting very quiet. The girls liked having their own rooms, and having bonfires at night. We stopped at the Tahquamenon Falls on the way there. And found lots to do around the Munising area between the Pictured Rocks National Park, and all the falls in the area. Everyone in our group, highly recommends renting a Pontoon boat to see the pictured rocks from the water. We had one rainy day that we used to take a short trip to Marquette. Lake Superior was not as cold as expected, actually quite nice, so we spent a few days swimming in it. And other days swimming here at Powell Lake.
As a bonus, there was one spot on the Deck that we could often get a AT&T 4G/LTE connection on my phone and were able to leave it in that spot, on the table, in a zip lock bag, and tether to other devices from there!
The house had everything we needed. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, and it was great to have all the extra space to spread out and relax. Not to mention the peace and quiet away from all the others traveling around the Labor Day weekend. It was a great time, and enjoyed by the whole family."

"The cabin is delightful and was the perfect escape for me and my husband for a week long getaway to the UP. The description was spot on and we enjoyed the comforts of home including air conditioning, washer and dryer, and dishwasher. At the same time the cabin very much gives the feel of a northern cabin and is very tastefully decorated. We fell in love with several of the unique furnishings. This cabin is very clean and well cared for.
We really enjoyed the river right outside our front door and spent a majority of the week exploring the river via kayak and fishing (The river empties into Lake Michigan). We caught lots of great fish from the river bank and from the kayaks and saw several bald eagles hanging out on the river bank. We also made a day trip to the pictured rocks lake shore which was a beautiful trip. We also enjoyed the fire pit and grill after spending our days on the river.
There was a gas station just a few minutes away for essentials and we were able to get groceries and everything else we needed in Escanaba which was about 30 minute drive. While this was a romantic getaway I would recommend for families. We would love to bring our three teenage boys back for a fishing trip.
Dan was easy to work with and he made great recommendations on things to do during our stay. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away and enjoy all the UP has to offer."

"My daughter son-in-law and 3 grandchildren stayed here for a week. What a peaceful vacation. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of trails to walk and run (if you so desire) to use. We went to the locks one day and the fort in Mackinaw City, stayed the rest of the week right on the property. The kids had alot of fun in the water and chasing each other around the woods. Would highly recommend this place. We would consider coming back again."
