"We had a perfect northern escape to the Keweenaw. The cabin was just as described....the views of the Huron Mountains and the bay changed with each change in the weather. Sitting on the back deck, watching the waves one day to calm rolling swells the next. We gazed at the Milky Way and had an added treat of Northern Lights! It was the perfect spot to use as a base as we explored the magic of Copper Country. The sauna was an added treat for a vacation rental. The owners were great to deal with and very gracious. We would recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a quiet relaxing get away with all the Keweenaw has to offer so within reach!"

"Three families stayed here with 2 kids, 2 kids, and 1 kid for a ski weekend at Indianhead. The kids slept in the same bedrooms as their parents. The house has three levels, we stayed at what they call the main or upper unit which consists of the upper two levels - so this review applies only to that unit. The upper and lower units have separate driveways- so you don't even know the other occupants are there. Beds were very comfortable.
The unit is about 500 yards (?) from the arc-de-skiomphe marking the entrance to Indianhead ski area parking lot. This puts it just outside of realistic comfortable walking distance for adults or kids in ski boots. No problem though, its a 30 second drive to drop off your stuff and get going.
As others have mentioned, it is nicer than it appears in the pictures. Everything was clean and quite nice. Owner and caretaker both VERY nice, responsive and easy to work with. We all agreed we would stay here again, and just may do so in future years."

"Had a fantastic stay at Plover Retreat this weekend while exploring the UP. It was very clean and well taken care of. The details are thought out, you can tell. The kitchen had every gadget I needed, even a hand mixer! The bath towels were nice, the mattress was comfortable (I was by myself on a solo retreat). I loved the porch and the fire pit. I couldn't easily find my way down to the beach so I missed out on that but I had so much fun exploring the Taquomonon Falls, Pictured Rocks and driving H-58 that it didn't phase me. I later saw in the welcome book to go to Ellen Street for the public beach access but never did. Next time! I highly recommend Plover Retreat to anyone that wants to be centrally located for the popular sights and tourist attractions in the UP. The people are nice in town, too. Make sure you bring fresh groceries if you plan to cook. The local store has very limited selections and it's quite a ways to get to a bigger supermarket. If you plan to eat in Grand Marais at the end of your day, the Brewery is really the only place that serves food after 8 or so. I never made it to the West Bay Diner but I heard it's pretty good."

"I arrived a little later than anticipated due to some heavy rain. Everything was just as our host said it would be. The cabin is comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Had a great time to relax and enjoy. There were points of interest close enough for short day trips. Grilled out a couple nights, everything was in the cabin that was needed. Would I recommend this rental? You betcha Everything was perfect. Only concern, the address could be a little more visible from the road. Thanks for allowing this great opportunity."
