"My daughter son-in-law and 3 grandchildren stayed here for a week. What a peaceful vacation. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of trails to walk and run (if you so desire) to use. We went to the locks one day and the fort in Mackinaw City, stayed the rest of the week right on the property. The kids had alot of fun in the water and chasing each other around the woods. Would highly recommend this place. We would consider coming back again."

"Ted and Lynn are wonderful hosts and their cottage was clean and comfortable. Everything previous posters listed are spot on. We arrived to find a welcome note and a basket with all the fixings for s'mores! Nice touch. The cottage also was well prepared with papertowels, kleenex, and toilet paper. Some cottages we have stayed at didn't have these items. The view of the lake every morning and at sunset is stunning. We saw some very beautiful sunsets. We used the row boat for fishing and did catch a nice size bluegill and a smaller pike. The lake always had several fishermen on it so it seems the fish are biting. We got groceries in Marquette on our way in but the local store about 10 minutes away (Larrys) was well stocked too. Drugstore next door handy as well. We had to find a doctor during our stay and the drive to Marquette to the urgent care was only 30 minutes and easy to find. Day trips to Escanaba and Pictured Rocks are also within reason. Hiking Pictured Rocks is a must!! We biked the Iron Ore Heritage trail and to be noted is that going from Marquette to Negaunee is up hill all the way.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cottage and would highy recommend it. It's spacious enough for a couple and two children in our opinion but two couples could be fine if one likes to sleep on a fold out sleeper sofa. I enjoyed having that space open for my quiet time reading in the morning while overlooking the lake."

"We have rented this cabin several times and just love it. Hoping to stay longer next year. Its a long drive for us but always worth it. The cabin always is very neat and clean and has everyting we need. Praying to be able to enjoy anther vacation on this beautiful lake. We also had the pleasure of meeting two very nice families. Thank you Paul!"

"We are returning guests to Trail Wind Lodge. We love this cabin. My husband, myself, and our wiener dog Charley, had a wonderful week in the UP. The pictures of the cabin and lake are right on. It is so clean, and there is nothing you need to bring with you except your toothbrush. Everything is supplied except for your personal items. We fished, and the motor boat supplied, was just perfect. Each room was so nice, even the window sills were clean, and I don't know what else to say about it. Kevin and Tammy are amazing at keeping this place in top shape. We are planning to go back again! Curtis is centrally located and to go to all the tourist places in the UP only is about 20 minutes to an hour ride, depending where you want to go. We liked how quiet it was. Star gazing a must! It is great for people 55+. They have good TV reception, there is always a breeze blowing, everything in the kitchen that you could ask for works. I don't know what else to say, except thank you Kevin and Tammy for a most beautiful place to stay, and we bless you and hope to make it back up again really soon. Sincerely, Judy & Bernie"
