"My new husband and I had a wonderful time here. It was peaceful, private and relaxing. Just what we were looking for after the hustle and bustle of wedding planning. Everything we needed was included. Steve and Sue were great hosts and very helpful. The cabin was very clean and well kept. Thank you so much!"

  • Clean, peaceful and feels like home

"This place is very welcoming and you feel like you are staying at your close friend's house. It does not feel like rental property. The family that owns this takes very good care. We felt the house is filled with love and memories, like others who stayed here. If you are like me who wants to have everything clean, do not look for another place. Backyard is beautiful with bay with-in steps. There is a beach that is not too far from this property that you can visit. Kitchen is fully equipped. We have stayed at various VRBO properties in the US and by far, this is the best property ever. I would highly recommend this property."

  • Perfect, peaceful family vacation

"We are staying at Saint's Rest this week, but I couldn't wait to write a review! Communication and arranging our stay with Robert, the homeowner, was excellent-- professional, friendly, and helpful. We arrived to a wonderfully kept, immaculately clean, cozy yet spacious beach house with everything we could possibly need--well stocked kitchen, laundry facilities, linens...all the details. We are close enough to town for nice bike rides to take the kids to the park or the children's museum. But the beach...the sights and sounds of Lake Superior...that VIEW! This has been by far the most marvelous part of our trip. Kayak excursions, swimming, sand castles, beach fires, leisurely walks...just steps from the porch. It's really helped our boys reconnect with nature and their imaginations and exploration...and given mom and dad some time to just REST and enjoy! Thanks so much!!"

  • Very comfortable - so much to do!!!

"Our family spent a week at the Heidi Haus in July and had a great time. The cottage is clean, very comfortable, well-stocked, and has the creature comforts of nice beds, laundry, bath, and kitchen. Pictures are accurate. Loft is really large, and kids enjoyed having their own space up there. We enjoyed walking along the beach every morning - and noting the changes in shoreline from the day before. We used the owners canoe in the bay; caught smallmouth bass in the Menomonee River, and some smaller fish in the Cedar River; went bike riding; visited the DeYoung Zoo; went swimming; and had a fire out on the beach. We also brought our ATVs along - there are some really wonderful trails in the area, and we seldom crossed paths with other riders (you can trailer 4 miles to a trailhead, or ATV right off the property - just can't use ATVs on M35). Owners were very helpful in directing us where to register our ATVs in Michigan (only 4 miles away); where to fish; how to get to zoo; etc. For this mom, it was a great alternative to camping - we could do all of the same things, but had access to the comforts and conveniences of cottage."
