"We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There are 2 bedrooms on third floor but the 4th "bedroom" is really a loft nook with 2 twin beds, fine for kids but no door for privacy. Plenty of bedding and comfortable beds, lots of space for everyone. Especially nice for families because you can put the kids in bed on the 3rd floor and then adults can socialize (and get as loud as they want!) on the bottom floor in the kitchen and small living room area there. The second floor has a bedroom and sitting area, 2 very comfortable couches, and TV, and opens out to the screened in porch. The washer and dryer made it easy to pack light. The local bar Barb's Bob-Lo Tavern is right next door so it's fun to walk there for one of the meal specials, shuffleboard, or a game of pool. Everyone we met on the island was very friendly and helpful. A really unique setup with lots of space and a great view in a memorable location. We rode bikes, kayaked, hunted, and hiked all over the island. Highly recommend the plane ride over to Mackinac Island, totally worth it for a memorable day trip. One tip, there are 3 bathrooms so make sure you bring hand soap for all of them and also dish soap, and also bring trash bags as you will need to remove all your trash when you leave, they don't do trash removal."

"My daughter son-in-law and 3 grandchildren stayed here for a week. What a peaceful vacation. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of trails to walk and run (if you so desire) to use. We went to the locks one day and the fort in Mackinaw City, stayed the rest of the week right on the property. The kids had alot of fun in the water and chasing each other around the woods. Would highly recommend this place. We would consider coming back again."

"The cottage is only steps away from the Lake Superior shoreline and visible from the the covered porch. It is situated on a dead end street which provides a secluded, peaceful place to enjoy, but with the the companionship of folks from the other cottages at this location. We enjoyed meeting the other people staying there. The cottage was clean, the bed was very comfortable even with my bad back and there were plenty of freshly laundered towels for our use. It is located between Houghton-Hancock and Copper Harbor so it is not a bad drive to view the sights of both locations and all there is to see in between. Phillip was attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Phillip!"

"We stayed at Whitecaps cottage for a week in June. It is a lovely, clean, cozy cottage on the bay. The views are gorgeous!! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We had a very relaxing week, as soon as we arrived we could feel the pressures of everyday life lift away. The cottage almost screams "relax". It is located in the perfect spot, close to many tourist sights, yet far enough away to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the UP. We went to Copper Harbor, Jampot, and Fort Wilkins one day, then spent 2 days discovering the waterfalls nearby. Bond Falls is a must see!! Everything we needed was provided. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of this lovely , affordable cottage if you want a terrific getaway!!"
