  • Great Place to Stay

"We stayed 2 nights at this condo and it was very nice. The decor was up to date, super cozy with the gas fireplace. It is truly ski in ski out. Ten steps out the door and you put your skis on and go. We skiied during the week and the place was empty. I recommend Tacconellie's in Ironwood for dinner. We did cook breakfast and the kitchen had nice cookware and kitchen stuff. It was very quiet at night also. The owner was great to deal with."

  • Great times at a good place.

"We rented the whole house for a week of snowmobiling and skiing. House is very modern and spacious. The upper and lower units ARE NOT connected from the inside so you must go outside to go between units. Not a big deal but just be aware of it. Bedrooms are nice size and have comfortable beds. 3 full bathrooms are large and very nice. House is warm and cozy. Good parking- fit my truck and 29' trailer. Walking distance to Indian Head ski lodge which has a bar and restaurant. There is also a pool and sauna at the lodge that you can use for a small fee (except Saturdays). Snowmobile trail is very close by so no need to trailer anywhere. Joe has plenty of fire wood on hand so you can kick back and enjoy a warm fire while watching the big screen TV. Wi-Fi is nice if you bring your computer like we always do. Plenty of great bars and restaurants are close by if your group wants to go out. Joe is a great guy and is easy to work with. We would gladly come back to his place again."

  • Wildernest Chalet

"Our vacation to the Wildernest was fabulous. The place was very neat and clean. The pictures do not due it justice. The views from the living room are beautiful. Our kids really enjoyed playing outside, besides the great location to the ski hills. The owner was great at making sure everything was perfect for our stay. We stayed in the upper unit with another family; the layout was perfect, plenty of space. What a nice get away. We will be back. Thank you!"

  • Nice place - recently remodeled

"We rented this property to snowmobile; it was recently remodeled and the photos on VRBO are not current and don't do the place justice. It's a nice 3 bedroom 2 full bath unit with 2 wood fireplaces, full kitchen and dining spots for 8. It also has two new flat screen TV's, Internet and cable. The inside looked brand new - appliances and all. You will not be disappointed with the unit at all but the snowmobile trail (11) is not maintained north of the ski hill - in fact I don't think it's possible for a groomer to get through because of fallen trees. Our experience this weekend was all of the trails in that area are not on par with what we normally experience in the UP. We had to ride out about 20 miles to get to good riding. The place is very clean and everything worked perfect and the showers were hot (there was a review complaining about no hot water). Another neat feature is the units in this area are spread out so you have some space. There is a rental in the basement and there were people there but we never heard them so I think it's well insulated between the units."
