"Returned to the Beach House mid-October for a repeat of last year's wonderful stay. Loved having wi-fi, being able to bring our two older mutts, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of crashing waves, just a few yards from the cabin. All in all, despite rainy weather, we had a wonderful time. Recommendations: The Lagniappe Restaurant in Marquette and the Langenenfeld Outdoor Sculpture Park."

"My husband and our two dogs had a great time at the cabin. We wanted something deep in the woods, private, rustic, with lake access and we got what we asked for. The cabin is small but has everything you need. Be sure to bring DVD's with you as there are none at the cabin, but there were some games and coloring books as well. We really liked how the house is set well off the main road, so sitting on the deck you felt completely private from the rest of the folks on the lake. Bring lots of bug spray with you as the mosquitoes come out in force around 5pm, but our nightly fire in the fire pit helped keep them away.
Note, most all cell carriers do not get service at the cabin, and there's no landline in the cabin. I could see this being kind of scary if you have small kids and there's no way to call in an emergency.
Regarding the lake access, it's a short walk to the dock, but it's not the kind of dock others have on the lake. The water is very shallow and full of water lilies, so there's no swimming or fishing from the dock. If it's not too windy we suggest you do what we did and take the canoe across to the other side of the lake on the point, dock the canoe and fish and swim there. It was a fun little private place to hang. And if it's too windy, head to the public boat launch. We waded in to our waists in the warm water and fished from the launch and caught blue gill, pike, bass and some sunfish. Nice little spot.
Great vacation spot for sticking close to the lake, but also a nice central location for people looking to drive to places like the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore as well. Great little getaway!"

"Our family stayed at this charming cottage in August. We had the best time yet! It was relaxing and so much fun to spend time with our kids without all of the distractions. Enjoyed seeing the bald eagle and sandhill cranes. We picked wild blueberries and made pies which my husband loved! Everyone loved the sauna! The beach is incredible and the scenery amazing! Loved kayaking to see the beautiful cliffs! The cottage is well stocked with everything you need. There are also many thoughtful touches as well. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs for a week to celebrate our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and the house is adorable (although my 6 ft 3 in husband bumped his head at least once a day!). We loved having coffee in the morning in the screen porch, playing games at night in the studio listening to Lake Superior and relaxing next to a fire watching the stars. Our dogs loved playing frisbee in the yard and going to the nearby beach for a swim. It was a great vacation for all of us!"
