  • Highly Recommended!!!

"My wife and I spent a week at Grace Cottage and couldn't have been more pleased. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! The location was perfect for our daytrips to Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, The Great Shipwreck Museum and DeTour Village. Cedarville is quaint and the people are friendly. I recommend a visit to the Maritime Museum. The close proximity to town and the grocery store is very convenient. The owners were very nice and offered some good suggestions of things to do and see in the area. I wish we'd have had more time to just sit out back and enjoy the view."

  • "Superior" in every way

"Our time at your cabin was wonderful. The week covered the entire gamut of weather.....warm, calm, stormy, windy, cool, sunny , cloudy. Each day was different and dramatic in its own way. Our 16 year old Border Collie acted like a pup again , chasing sticks into the lake and in general, enjoying herself. The "Big Bay Tennis Assn." was most accommodating in the use of the courts they built and asked us to join them in a set of tennis. In addition to day trips to waterfalls, Thomas Lookout and the Huron Mountain Club gateway, we sampled the local cuisine. Lumberjack Bar ice cream was a high point as was Lisa and my good fortune to celebrate our 60th and 70th birthdays at your lovely cabin. Thank you and we hope to be back!"

  • Great views, excellent location, comfortable

"Lovely views of the pond and the big lake from the living, dining and kitchen area. Clean comfortable furniture, not pictured is outdoor table chairs on the deck, we spent much time there. We are seniors, had no problem rowing across the pond, walking to the beach. It would be difficult for those who are not active or disabled. The beach is very private. We saw a bald eagle sitting on driftwood. Just 2 of us, the king bed was great, liked the adjoining half bath. Suggestions for guests, bring dish towels and dish clothes and a box fan or 2. The ceiling fans are nice but we needed more. I hope the owers read this and leave a box fan in a closet. They have plenty of bath towels. Kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dinnerware, silverware, utensils. If need spices, flour, sugar, bring along, there is salt, pepper. Don't forget coffee and toilet paper! I liked finding the refrig and bathrooms were free of remnants from other guests. There is a very close by neighbor to the West, no one was home. A realtor showed that house while we were there. This neighboring house has a birds eye view of the deck and west side of house. Total privacy is something crave when in Grand Marais, the house was a great fit for us, we will return and take our chances."

  • Couple age 55. Were looking for nice, quiet place with cool climate and walking opportunities

"We loved location. You get out of door and find yourself in the beautiful park with lovely trail. There is another park in Escanaba, short drive from the house. Both parks located on Michigan lake. While in Escanaba, be sure to visit Swedish Pantry for great food and Leigh's Garden Winery for great wine. One hour drive from the cottage is city of Marquett which is well worth of driving to. There is farmers market in both Gladstone and Escanabe which offers great fresh produce, eggs, baking goods, etc The cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you might need during your stay. We always rent houses or condos for our vacation and we both agree that this cottage equipped better than any other place we stayed at."
