  • Great spot!

"We had a wonderful, albeit short, stay at this charming and beautifully located beach cottage. The views of Superior were fabulous and the house was very well located for taking in all there is to see on the upper peninsula. The hosts were most welcoming and the house was immaculate and incredibly cozy."

  • Couple age 55. Were looking for nice, quiet place with cool climate and walking opportunities

"We loved location. You get out of door and find yourself in the beautiful park with lovely trail. There is another park in Escanaba, short drive from the house. Both parks located on Michigan lake. While in Escanaba, be sure to visit Swedish Pantry for great food and Leigh's Garden Winery for great wine. One hour drive from the cottage is city of Marquett which is well worth of driving to. There is farmers market in both Gladstone and Escanabe which offers great fresh produce, eggs, baking goods, etc The cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you might need during your stay. We always rent houses or condos for our vacation and we both agree that this cottage equipped better than any other place we stayed at."

  • Great Place! Great Location!

"I met my Dad and Brother at this vacation rental for a long weekend of fishing. The place was easy to find and very close to the Marina/Bait Shop/Pub/Gas Station. There is plenty of room to park numerous vehicles and trailers. The place was very well kept and fully stocked with the essentials (TP, paper towels, clean sheets and towels, cooking supplies, etc...). All of the utilities were in good working condition. The place has a lot of really cool decorations and is very comfortable. The Cedar River is directly across the road (CR 551). There is also a secluded state park/campground about 5.5 miles up the river. My Dad and I dumped the canoe in at the campground and paddled/fished back to the house. This is a great place to visit/stay if you are looking for serenity and tranquility. The surrounding area is also a great fishery (Salmon, Walleye, Bass, and Pike). The owner made the renting experience very simple and easy. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely return for another stay!"

  • Loved it!

"My husband and I contacted the owners on short notice and they accommodated us (and our cat) without hesitation. The house (it's more of a house than a cabin) was huge but had a cozy feel to it. We loved the indoor wood burning fireplace and view of the lake. We found a lot to do in the area, including mountain biking, hiking, waterfall sightseeing, beer sampling at breweries in Marquette, and a bunch of restaurants to try. We felt fortunate to be there during some amazing fall colors. The owners were so easy to work with and the house was clean. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the deck, dock and porch!"
