  • Even better for our second stay at the Chalet!

"Thank you again Barb! We had another wonderful, relaxing vacation. It was much needed and I couldn't have asked for more. I love the updates done to the house since our last stay a few years ago. The decor is beautiful and gives the cozy cabin feel. All amenities you could need are already available for you. No need to pack anything but your clothes! The beds are super comfortable, and high quality linens are provided. Barb and Randy have thought of everything! East Lake is quiet with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Fishing was great from both the dock and the boat. We caught too many Bluegill to count, plenty of Catfish, a few Large Mouth Bass and there is a Pike who escaped the net with one of my favorite lures! We travelled with our two teenage girls, 17 and 19. They love the lake. We chose East Lake because we can unplug for a little and reconnect as a family. I personally love that there isn't wi-fi, and cell service is limited. For us, vacation is getting away from doing the same thing we do every day. They didn't miss texting or Youtube. We had a great time as a family and can't wait to get back again. There is plenty to do in the area for everyone within reasonable distances. Some of our favorites are Oswald's Bear Ranch, Tahqaumenon Falls and the Brewery, Pictured Rocks and we took M-28 for a long drive along the Lake Superior Coast stopping often at Scenic look-outs. I can't forget nightly S'mores around the bonfire, great fishing and feeding the ducks! Hope to see you again soon! Kim, Dave and the girls"

  • Cute, cozy and comfortable

"We three ski instructors from southern Wisconsin we are. Each taking a three day ski instructor exam at Marquette Mountain. We were very happy each day to return to this cozy little home to collapse exhausted. Whether we were hanging out in the dining room comparing notes or lounging in the living room, this was the perfect place for us. A hotel room simply could not provide us with this level of comfort."

  • And we did return

"Sandy and I just returned from our second annual stay at Brennan's Seasons on the Bay. If you are looking for beautiful accommodations,a central location to many scenic areas, a warm, relaxing environment, and the friendliness of a small midwestern town, then this is definitely where you want to be. Several nearby restaurants provide excellent meals, but we found our favorite was The Finn, just a short distance from the home. The Friday fish fry was are their daily specials. We have traveled and stayed at several resorts both in the states and in Canada, but no place has compared to Ed and Mary Jean's lake home. We are already making plans to return next year. Our experiences during the past two years at Brennan's can best be described in one word: Perfect! We would highly recommend Brennan's Seasons on the Bay to anyone looking for the ideal vacation place, a place where there is certainly something of interest for everyone....And where the accommodations are second to none. Dan and Sandy"

  • Just what we needed.

"Design and location made this the perfect get-away spot for us. Bedrooms & bath at both ends of the house gave us each a little retreat. The private cove, shallow water, rowboat, and sandy beach allowed our urban grandkids to muck around in nature, and they loved the "perfect for s'mores" fire pit. The kitchen was pretty well equipped, and the whole house very clean. We appreciated the No Smoking policy, as the kids and I are very sensitive to cigarette smoke odors. Town was near enough for grocery runs and central to many attractions. Finally, the owners were very responsive to our needs. In the middle of our first load of laundry, we realized the dryer had broken. Not wanting to waste vacation time at the laundromat, we called the owners. They called their local maintenance man who came in and fixed it that day. I highly recommend this rental. (If you're from out of state, as we were, be aware that cell phone reception is spotty here and in many areas of the UP. Texting worked better than calling.)"
