  • Wonderful property that provided great Parent's Weekend

"Our family of 5 stayed at this home in mid October recently and had a wonderful time. The home is quaint but that does not mean small, it is definitely a cottage on a lake but with 2 full bathrooms (no tub just showers) and the main bathroom is huge with a large walk in shower with seat, if needed. What made this so wonderful was we were in the area for the weekend for a Calvin College Parent's weekend and we were less than 3 minutes from the campus! The cottage is on the very east end of Reed's Lake and NOT on the Gaslight district side (in case you are familiar with the Gaslight District) but it is surely a short drive to get over to that area. There were 3 BDRM, each BDRM with one bed, one twin, one double and one queen. It also had a nice office to work out of off the master bedroom. The kitchen was a great work space; not huge but not small. We cooked for our college kids (homecooking) which made the property even better. Negatives - there is not traditional 'cable' tv, a very limited group of channels that if you are use to watching a lot of regular TV may be an issue for you (especially during football/sports on main channels). But they had Netflix available and we also had a mini DVR player we connected to the TV to watch movies. Not having TV was limiting though. There is wireless WIFI in the house and it worked great. In the living room area there is a chair and couch but needed another couch in an open area to really be comfortable with 5 people. Jenny, the owner lives out of state but you wouldn't know it as she was very responsive throughout renting the property and during the stay answering questions. Very quiet area (remember during the fall when no one on the lake) so not sure how busy/noisy it may be during the summer. There are stairs (approx. 15-20) to get up to the main entrance. Thank you for a great place and would stay again!"

  • Grear Little place in a cute little town

"We try to book this cottage ecery year. Been going 3 years now for nice little vacations from Chicago. The cottage is very nicely decorated, and has all you need to have a great time.(even bikes, childrens toys, etc). The town of Spring LAke is cute, we always go down to the VanderMill Cider mill, this year they added a stage and have great outdoor concerts. For more "hustle" we go into Grand Haven. All in all, this place has a good amount of space in a good location to have a nice MI weekend."

  • Awesome Family Cottage

"Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us! We had an amazing time with our family. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake. We were kayaking, fishing & swimming every day!! :-) The cottage had everything (and more) that we needed to make our stay comfortable. We hope to make this an annual vacation. We had a blast!"

  • Awesome Family Time

"This condo was a great place for a large family group. We had plenty of space for kids and adults. We were planning on just sleeping here and doing things in the area but were pleasantly surprised by the amount of complimentary activities available at the resort. (fun at the arcade, back Forty, and walking around the grounds) We went to Silver Lake Dunes and Pentwater Beach. If we go back to this area we would stay here again for sure and plan to take in more of the resort activities. (kids crafts, horseback riding, swimming hole) My only recommendation would be to being your own garbage bags. We only had two and they were so thin that they broke open in transport to the garbage cans in the parking garage. Beds were very comfortable."
