  • Great place!

"We had a great time during our stay at the Owl's Perch. The house was spacious and incredibly clean. It was a quick walk to the beach, pier, and lighthouse. I would highly recommend this house to any family. It easily accommodates up to fourteen people."

  • Wonderful Home and Wonderful Area

"We are just finishing the week of July 19th and are sad to be leaving. This home is absolutely beautiful and the owners who live nearby do everything possible to maintain this lovely property and to make your stay delightful. Our family of 3 generations stayed here and from the grandparents to the youngest 2 year old, we all loved our stay. I don't think you could find a nicer home for a summer vacation. It is close to the state park, the marina and to downtown Holland. The owners go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy their home and your vacation. Even the bikes are very nice. Thanks Bruce and Vicky for a pleasant stay at your rental home and we hope to be back next summer!"

  • Son's First Birthday

"We had a wonderful time at the Red Geranium Cottage! We spent the weekend in Holland for our son's first birthday. The cottage was a perfect place for a family and we could walk to the local coffee shop in the morning and the Mexican restaurant for dinner just down the street. There are many things to do in the area, and Norma was very helpful educating us on things to do in town. We will definitely stay at the Red Geranium again!"

  • The Chevys

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.......it was exactly as described, very clean, inviting and comfortable. There were plenty of supplies, towels, soaps etc. and LOVED the first floor bathroom! Backyard great for relaxing or grilling, and cute front porch for evening reading. Fun walk to pier at end of street, met lots of neighbors who were friendly and helpful with directions, etc. Easy to get around to everywhere we wanted to go. Owners are very nice and good to work with, communication was prompt, courteous and accurate. Would definitely recommend and/or stay there again."

Holland Travel Tips

Holland Vacation Rentals

Have you ever wanted to visit Holland? To see the amazing Dutch architecture and eat the wonderful Dutch cuisine? For most of us, the plane ticket alone would be more than we could afford, but there is a way to see Holland without a plane trip over the ocean . . . or a passport.

Holland in Our Own Backyard

Holland, Michigan was settled in 1847 by Dutch Calvinist separatists, and that Dutch influence lives on today in many ways, including the Holland Museum, which shows the city's history. If you choose to visit Holland in May, there is an annual Tulip Time Festival, which began in 1930. But whatever you decide to do in this beautiful city, make sure you figure out the Holland lodging first. You wouldn't want to be stuck in a small hotel room—especially if you are going to take your whole family. One possible solution to the hotel room is Michigan lake houses. These gorgeous vacation rental properties have all the amenities that you find at home including a full-sized kitchen and multiple bedrooms—a must if you have kids who need to be separated for your own sanity.

Holland Can Also Make for a Great Romantic Getaway

Or, if you want to leave your kids behind, Holland would make for a fabulous romantic getaway for just you and your sweetheart. There are vacation homes available on VRBO.com in all shapes and styles. Instead of a large home with many bedrooms, look into a small home that is just big enough for the two of you. Cook a romantic dinner and eat by candlelight. Sit out on the deck watching the sunset as you sip wine. You can even get a bungalow with a hot tub. Whatever would make your romantic weekend perfect, you can find in a vacation home.
