  • Excellent Vacation Spot

"My friends and I had a girls week away. This house provided everything that we needed to have a wonderful time. Enough bedrooms, internet/wifi, laundry room, tv/cable/dvd-bluray player, and stocked kitchen. The view and location cannot be surpassed. Two steps and you are on the beach of Lake Michigan. We have stayed in other beach homes and this one is on the top of our list. We hated to leave. It is also close to restaurants, shopping, and other scenic towns such as Saugatuck, Grand Rapids, Holland and Grand Haven. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others."

  • Wonderful weekend

"My extended family spent 3 days here around a wedding and totally enjoyed it. The house we well located for the things that we like to do (beach activities, hiking, geo-caching) and extremely comfortable for our party of 7."

  • Our best Girls' weekend yet!

"7 girlfriends and I spent the weekend at Norma's cottage for our 2nd annual girls weekend. All of us live in the north Grand Rapids area and it was the perfect distance away to not waste too much time driving to our location. The cottage FAR EXCEEDED our expectations. The pictures do not do justice to the amazing beachy cottage decor, spacious rooms, 3 full bathrooms and amazing back porch. Several of us are also runners and enjoyed the close proximity to the Heinz Waterfront Walkway for a great morning job along the water. We walked to downtown (20-25 minute walk) for the Farmers' Market, shops and lunch. Could not recommend this place enough!"

Holland Travel Tips

Holland Vacation Rentals

Have you ever wanted to visit Holland? To see the amazing Dutch architecture and eat the wonderful Dutch cuisine? For most of us, the plane ticket alone would be more than we could afford, but there is a way to see Holland without a plane trip over the ocean . . . or a passport.

Holland in Our Own Backyard

Holland, Michigan was settled in 1847 by Dutch Calvinist separatists, and that Dutch influence lives on today in many ways, including the Holland Museum, which shows the city's history. If you choose to visit Holland in May, there is an annual Tulip Time Festival, which began in 1930. But whatever you decide to do in this beautiful city, make sure you figure out the Holland lodging first. You wouldn't want to be stuck in a small hotel room—especially if you are going to take your whole family. One possible solution to the hotel room is Michigan lake houses. These gorgeous vacation rental properties have all the amenities that you find at home including a full-sized kitchen and multiple bedrooms—a must if you have kids who need to be separated for your own sanity.

Holland Can Also Make for a Great Romantic Getaway

Or, if you want to leave your kids behind, Holland would make for a fabulous romantic getaway for just you and your sweetheart. There are vacation homes available on VRBO.com in all shapes and styles. Instead of a large home with many bedrooms, look into a small home that is just big enough for the two of you. Cook a romantic dinner and eat by candlelight. Sit out on the deck watching the sunset as you sip wine. You can even get a bungalow with a hot tub. Whatever would make your romantic weekend perfect, you can find in a vacation home.
