"This house was perfect for our group- plenty of space, comfy beds, well stocked, and tons of activities! The house has wonderful views of the lake from inside, and a nice big deck off the back. I can not express how much the kids loved the big rope swing !!! There is a nice fire pit right down by the water, great for camp fires and s'mores! White Lake is clean, warm enough for the kids to swim, and accommodates boaters/fishermen/and any water sport. Montague & Whitehall are just a short drive away where you can find Montague Foods(a very nice grocery store), Pitkins (this shop has everything, great for kids & souvenirs), and many restaurants(Harbor View Grill was a favorite). Bill the owner was great to work with, and very responsive to any questions. Everyone had a blast, the week went by much too fast, and we are all talking about when we can return!!!"

"We are a family of six and we also invited Grandma and Grandpa to join us for the week. We were all very comfortable and had a great week. The cottage was really well equipped with everything we possibly could have wanted. It was very clean and maintained. You could tell that this was someones home that they cared very much for and wanted to make visitors feel welcome.
The area is really fun if you enjoy nature and a sandy Lake Michigan beach. We saw deer every day and watched two beavers work in the stream all week. Turtles, frogs, birds, complete with a beautiful sunrise over mist rising from the water every morning, it was nature at its best. Some of us boated and some of us walked to the beach every day and during the week had the entire beach to our selves. Even though the WiFi kept us connected to the outside world, we really felt disconnected from our usual busy pace of life. From our youngest to our oldest, we all had a wonderful time."

"We rented this house for family that couldn't fit in our home. The living space is large, open and inviting. The amenities far surpassed our expectations. Carol is wonderful to deal with and I would rent from them again."

"My husband and I stayed here for three weeks in October 2014. The cottage is old, but quaint, VERY CLEAN and well stocked with everything you need for a long vacation. The beds were comfortable, and the fenced in yard was great for our 2 little doggies. Only a couple blocks off the rail trail and the downtown area, the location was perfect for us. I can't say enough nice things about Cathy, the owner! She was so welcoming and friendly and answered all my questions promptly when going through the booking process. Montague is a quaint little town that is perfect for a "quiet" get away, less people than Grand Haven or Holland area, so in my opinion much more peaceful and relaxing. The Hart-Montague Rail Trail is FABULOUS for runners/walkers/bikers and part of the reason why I like to stay in Montague. The cottage is only a short drive to Lake Michigan for sunsets or beach walking and if you are into dune rides, its less than a half hour from Silver Lake sand dunes. I would highly recommend the property and stay here again."
