"With extended family members in the W. Mich area this was a perfect gathering place for us (the parents) from Cincinnati, a son from SE Mich, and another son from Massachusetts. We enjoyed our time together there as well as the opportunity to see other family in the area. We were three adult couples and two small children. The accommodations worked out well for us. We appreciated the fenced in yard for the children. The view from the porch was beautiful, interesting, and relaxing. The dock was a fun place to walk to view boats and also the lake areas. Bear Lake Tavern was a short walk away and had excellent burgers. Muskegon State Park was a short drive away and the beach was lovely and not near as crowded as the beach at Holland State Park can be.
The cottage was clean & nicely furnished with the exception of the kitchen. It was stocked with a hodge podge of pans and utensils that were well past their prime. There was not a decent pan to make pancakes or eggs in. A new, complete set of pots and pans is due. That said, we would definitely consider staying here again."

"We had another amazing week at the Potter's Guesthouse! My family loves it here. We have everything we need and more. The house is comfortable, with all the amenities and in a beautiful setting.
The beach is not too far away and this year the weather was perfect! The water felt great, best swimming we've had in years. All of our favorite things to do in Whitehall and Montague are still there, like ice cream and mini golf at C's Extreme Ice Cream and eating at our favorite restaurants, Pub 111 and Peckadill's.
It is so wonderful to have a nice, comfortable home to come back to after a day of play or sightseeing. This summer we went to the Silversides Museum in Muskegon and toured a submarine. My family really enjoyed that and my kid even wrote about it for AP History class. The teacher really enjoyed the report :)
If you need a place to relax with your family, I highly recommend the Potter's Guesthouse. We will definitely be back next summer!
