"What a great find! As others have stated the photos don't do it complete justice. The views of the lake from within the house are fantastic! The house was very clean and cozy. We both enjoyed the open floor plan from kitchen to living area for relaxing. One can just sit on the couch and stare out onto the lake enjoying the view through the magnificent windows that cover the entire living room. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. The owner's sister and husband were just as gracious as could be in welcoming us. My husband and I always prefer off-season privacy, so were happy to have the seclusion of the snow and cold as company. Muskegon State Park is just up the pike and made for great walks on the trails with the dogs. It was only a short trip to Grand Haven to enjoy a day of after Thanksgiving shopping as well.
Our only recommendation would be to have a working fireplace. We were a tad disappointed, though I'm sure the bulk of rentals are in the summer when this wouldn't be noticed. And, I'm sure it's a matter of taste, but we found the main bedroom queen bed to be on the far side of needing replacement--a little on the mushy side. We ended up switching to the twin bedded room for a more peaceful night's sleep.
Between the location, cleanliness, accommodation of the owners and price, this is a definite do-over for us!"

"We stayed for four night in July, with weird cold weather. The pool was warm enough for the kids to sleep in, the fire pit was nice to sit around in the cool evenings, and the tiki hut was a great addition. Plenty of places for people to sit around the pool. The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked every evening. The only issue we had was we couldn't find the stopper for the sink! So I would say it was a perfect stay!"

"We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The location is fantastic - close to terrific state parks in Pentwater and Ludington. We used our paddle boards almost every day exploring Pentwater Lake and the Pentwater River. The layout of the house is perfect - our two boys had their own spaces upstairs while we enjoyed the quiet of the downstairs. Caroline, the property's owner, is a wonderful person - genuine and kind. Her homemade cookies were a hit! Would we rent from her again? ABSOLUTELY!!!!"

"Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us! We had an amazing time with our family. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake. We were kayaking, fishing & swimming every day!! :-) The cottage had everything (and more) that we needed to make our stay comfortable. We hope to make this an annual vacation. We had a blast!"
