"My brother and I spent a week in early August and this was perfect for us. We were on a nostalgia trip back to the area where our Swedish immigrant family settled in the 1880s and where we lived until the 1960s, and this location was perfect for that. The cabin is modern, clean, well furnished and equipped, and very comfortable. We made good use of the kitchen and grill. It made the trip much nicer and more memorable than staying in a motel. Especially the great lake view."

"My son attended the Heartland Hockey Camp while I popped in and out as a spectator. This house location is ~10 minutes from the camp, but is set far enough back from the main road that you would think you were in the land of trees and lakes with just a few neighbors.
The house is very quaint and provides all the necessary facilities. Not lavish, but is very clean and a terrific place to kick off the shoes and relax.
Owners were the nicest people you can meet. They go above and beyond any other VRBO owner experience I have had in my many years of renting.
If you are planning on being in the area and weighing out your options (and price is a concern), this rental should be at the top of your list."

"My wife and I have been boating on the Whitefish Chain and spending time in the Crosslake area for the past 5 years. We decided to book a cabin and spend a week on Cross Lake. We picked this spot due to it's location and sunset views, but that is only the start. The cabin is so clean and well maintained. It has a separate grilling "shack" with a Weber gas grill and a charcoal grill. The appliances are all new, the furniture, beds, TV, and other accommodations are all top shelf.
The patio has a glass top table with seating for 6 that overlooks Cross Lake with a spectacular view at any time of the day, but the sunsets are AMAZING!! The entire beach is soft sugar sand all the way out to the end of the dock. There is a fire pit next to the beach that is also a great vantage point to watch the sunset. The wireless boat lift was a major plus for our stay. It was nice not having to tie up the boat and hope the wind and waves didn't destroy it. (One negative is that there is no canopy for the lift so the boat is susceptible to the elements) However, having the lift available is a very nice feature.
I would highly recommend this property to someone looking for a great family vacation. The property lays out perfect for easy access to the town for groceries, ice cream, restaurants, coffee (all within walking distance). Plenty of parking space and a boat landing within half a mile. The cabin itself has 2 bedrooms up and the master in the walkout basement. Two refrigerators, one up and one down helped to keep food and beverages cold. It has one big wall AC unit to cool the house with fans available to move the air. If you don't have a great vacation staying here, it won't be because of the accommodations."
