  • Great stay

"I look forward to returning to the cabin and exploring the surrounding area more. The description and photos do a good job of giving a sense of the property. The cabin is clean and comfortable and the surroundings beautiful. The owners were helpful in answering questions and it is evident that they take care of their property and would like guests to enjoy themselves."

  • This is a great family retreat!

"This place is awesome! My wife, six daughters, and son in law + a boyfriend loved this house! There was space for everyone! The lake is wonderful! The house is perfect with everything we needed! It is about 15 minutes to Crosslake which has a great grocery store with all your food needs! The fishing was good, and the boat dock made for easy in and out with our rental boat from Nisswa, there is also a resort right on the lake that rents boats! We also loved paddling in their 4 kayaks! They were great! We got to meet the owners while we were there great too! We hope to be back and they are even adding on a mother-in-laws suite in case you have a larger group! If you have a small group that may work for you as well! We will be back!"

  • Wonderful Anniversary Weekend

"My wife and I stayed this past weekend at the Boat House. It was our first anniversary so we wanted something relaxing and secluded. The Boat house was everything advertised and more. The cabin was extremely clean, and truly set up to give visitors a great time. My wife felt at home from the moment we got inside. We spent the weekend cooking food, drinking wine, canoeing, listening to birds, sitting around the fire, and just overall feeling really fortunate to be with each other. It was a great time, and the cabin/owners ma The owners left free smores. They have a canoe, firepit, fireplace, movies, and basically everything you need for a romantic weekend. The best part was that the owners were very friendly to our dog. Our shepherd had a great time jumping in the lake and watching squirrels and birds from through the window. We both said we would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for being so hospitable and friendly to us."

  • Summer Getaway...

"Kari was really nice to work with. We were very happy with the amount of space with this rental as we had 14 people and 2 dogs. We played tennis and some of us rode bikes down the long, winding private driveway. Very nice fire-ring area, the free firewood was great! Very private, we didn't have to worry about too noisy with the size of our group. My mom has mobility issues and the first-floor master bedroom was fantastic for her. A couple family members fished and caught a nice amount for us to have a fish-fry. We did not use the beach for swimming...it was quite weedy--but the paddle boat didn't have any problems going through them! We found a nice swimming beach within 7-8 miles and went there for as a field trip. Red Sands is located near just about any amenity you could want--we shopped in Nisswa, went to the go-carts, etc... Our family had a great time!!"
