"We vacationed here last June and liked it so much we came back again. We met at Zorba's for a great lunch before checking in. The house was perfect for 11 of us (3 families). We love the roominess! Everyday we took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent time on the lake on our rented jet ski, a kayak, floaties and seeing the loons. Each night we enjoyed dinner on the deck and then had nightly bonfires. (Love the new fire pit). After checking out we spent time downtown shopping and had pizza at Rafferty's. Sherry was great to work with and we appreciate vacationing at her wonderful cabin."

Everything I wanted it to be. The lake to ourself!
"How many people have it all and are willing to share? These people do! Everything they need to have a great time on the lake is here and they shared it with us. We have only bought our groceries, bug spray, sun block and fishing bait. We have enjoyed the canoe and the fishing boat. This home is quiet and secluded just like we wanted. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, clean and comfortable. The whole house is cleverly designed and stocked. We caught a 26 inch Northern Pike on our first trip out and several crappie, bass and perch since then. There have been very few other boats and people in this area of the lake. A couple of planes landed and took off the other day. There was a sail boarder out last night. We have 2 days left to catch a walley. The first night we ate pan fried walleye at Grizzly's in Baxter, a great meal. Walmart is 10 miles away. When we pulled up and saw a couple of campers setting back away from the house we weren't sure, but they are only used by family- when guests are not here. Kevin was a great host to show us around, make sure we had what we need and make sure we knew how to contact them for anything we needed. We feel very welcome and comfortable. The washer and dryer will be great Friday morning to wash the bed clothes, towels and a load of our fishy clothes. The whole place is well designed. There is a king bed and 2 queen beds available. We love sleeping on the 2 queen beds so we can go to sleep and wake up looking out the windows at the lake and listening to the loons. I read that the loons are more vocal in May to June. We still have been thrilled to hear their song. It was almost like the Chevy Chase movie the first night, while Kevin was showing us around - a loon called on cue! Mosquitoes are out in the evening, very few deer flys. We had loons setting around us on the lake one day. The pictures don't lie, everything you see is here, I napped in the hammock, we've sat on the bench looking out at the lake, there are chairs on the deck, a gas grill. The fish cleaning house has been a huge help. We are not sauna fans, but it looks awesome too. We couldn't ask for nicer hosts and a nicer house to stay in. If the Lord permits, we will certainly be back."

"What a great week we had!. Our family spent a week at the Herzog cabin. We rented the motor so we went on boat rides and fishing. The weather was perfect! We caught a couple bass and many pan fish while on the boat and also right off the dock. The kids relaxed on floaties in the water, we grilled, sat around the campfire and had smores, and did a lot of relaxing. Dan was very responsive to any questions we had prior to our trip. He was also very quick to respond to questions we had while there. The cabin was furnished so well. It really felt like we were at our own place. We totally enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this cabin and look forward to returning someday."

"Three generations of our family just spent a week together at this lake home/cabin. We chose this cabin based on the sandy beach and the great reviews.it was everything plus what we expected! The cabin is authentic and clean. The best part is that it's perfect for families with young children because of the sandy shallow beach and great fishing right off from the dock! We did have some rainy days but the cabin has so many games and toys that it is perfect! We brought way too much food etc as this is such stocked kitchen right down to the tools for roasting marshmallows. We spent many nights by the fire enjoying the lake and having the Eagles soar over our heads! Great place and we are leaving with great memories...we will be back!"
