  • Wonderful weekend retreat!

"I needed a weekend away from everything down in the cities, and found this place online. I saw the high scores on the reviews, and decided to try it out. Well, the reviews don't do it justice. This place is wonderful!! It is secluded, quiet, cozy, and you have a great view of all of the wildlife. The sleeping loft is such a neat touch! And the bed is comfortable too. We had a great time and will definitely be back!!"

  • Perfect Vacation Spot -

"We just had the opportunity to stay at this cozy comfortable cabin. It truly was a Classic Up North Cabin. We loved the access to the beach and dock and took advantage of the canoe several times. The weather was the only challenge – we were only able to have a campfire once. You can’t beat sitting in front of the lake in those Adirondack chairs - relaxes all the stress away. This was a family vacation and with a small grandchild – we made the short trip to Paul Bunyan Land - she had fun there , but couldn’t wait to get back to the lake to enjoy the water – she even caught a fish off of the dock !! The kitchen was well equipped and everything was so nice and clean. Thank you, Herzog's for sharing."

  • Wonderful experience

"This was our first experience of doing VRBO, and it was all and more that we expected. Joan and I talked so many times prior to our visit. She was most helpful and we became fast buddies. With babies and all there were 10 of us. It is hard to find a place big enough for all of us, without being on top of each other. The most important things to me, is room and cleanliness, they exceed all of that and more. They were very helpful and friendly. Joan and her wonderful treats, Howards surprise for the kids, the great afghans we got to choose from, I could just go on and on. We all had a great time. They made sure we had everything we needed, Howard made the fires, everything was top notch. I hope to come back. Howard and Joan we all thank you for great memories in your home. Thank you so much, Sincerely, Dwight and Nancy Kottke"
