  • Beautiful! Pictures don't do it justice!

"We rented the main house and boat house for 4 days while we were in the area for a family wedding. The house is huge! I looked it up on zillow and it's like 7000 sq ft. Immaculate condition. It was much nicer than we were expecting based on pictures. The master bedroom is amazing. They have two of anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Yard is open and very clean. It was too cold for us to swim, but beach would be perfect for swimming with a nice sandy beach and shallow water for young children to play in. Owners must be super techs because every room has a nice TV set up. I give this 5 stars without hesitation. Frankly I think it's pricing is under the market value of what they could be charging for a place like this. The only cons were that there is a massive deck that is under construction. It's was still very "clean" looking outside even though deck was clearly being built. Also there was a square hole in the basement that had plywood over it in the basement. I think they might have removed an in ground hot tube or something. Anyway, it was the only thing that made the basement seem unfinished. I perceived it as dangerous to walk on because the boards seemed springy and I was a littled worried about someone falling through. Owners are very straight forward and business like in their interactions with you. Lastly, while they didn't charge us for anything, the owners wanted a credit card on file for unlimited damages rather than taking a traditional deposit. I thought this was obsessive, but the owners were very straight forward and responsive to deal with. They don't leave you to wonder about anything. You will know exactly what your responsibilities are and what theirs are. All in all a wonderful experience and beautiful property."

  • Fantastic time!

"We stayed here for girls weekend and had a blast. The rental is beautiful with everything you could possibly need. The resort was under construction but we had a great time anyway. The townhome was very cozy and perfect. Dorothy was great to work with and was very accommodating. I will definitely be bringing my family here in the future!"

  • Warm memories in frigid winter.

"For a Christmas and New Year getaway, we decided to all converge on one place and stay at this location in Pequot Lakes. With four families which include four children, this four bedroom and bathroom location was a huge draw. But what looks good in the pictures was even BETTER in person. This home is a balance of modern design with the warmth of a cabin. The LOCATION was fantastic. Even though it was the middle of winter, we enjoyed creating our own little snow forts and sledding hill in the ample yard space available. It was about 15 minutes from a grocery store, and 20 minutes from Nisswa, which was a fun little down to pop into and shop around. The HOUSE was perfect for our families. We each had our own little getaway room which was really nice. There were the perfect amount of beds, including a bunk bed and trundle for the kiddos. With four bathrooms, we never felt frustrated when we were getting ready for the day. We loved having three levels so that we could all spread out should we choose to. It was nice having a fireplace in the main living room where we could hang out and talk, and one downstairs in the TV/Game room for when we decided to catch a movie. And as the reigning champion, I personally loved the foosball table. The OWNERS were absolutely fantastic. They were timely and great to work with. When we had a question, they were quick to reply when we left a message. It was also convenient that they replied to texts if they were unable to answer the phone. These owners are quality people. Overall, we had an incredible getaway, and this oasis of a home was the perfect fit for us. The windchill may have hit -70 while we were there, but this home was the perfect warm getaway for families to retreat to. I would HIGHLY recommend you check this place out for yourself. If it was this good in the winter, I can only imagine this being even better in the summer."

  • Charming, clean cabin on the lake

"We rented this sparkling clean cabin for 3 nights during the week in August 2014. This cabin was the perfect relaxing, getaway. There were four adults in this cabin, which is the max I would do even though it can sleep six. There is one bathroom, a kitchen, a living room with a sofa-sleeper, one bedroom with queen bed and another bedroom with two twin beds. The cabin came with every possible amenity: two grills (one gas, the other charcoal), a fire pit with wood pre-stocked, inner tubes for swimming, fishing poles for fishing, wifi Internet access and plenty of DVDs and books for a rainy or relaxing day. The cabin was nicely decorated inside and out. The cabin is 20 feet from the shore with sliding glass doors that open onto a large deck with a nice patio table and chairs. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watched loons and other wildlife swim by. Just steps away from the cabin is your own personal dock and boat lift. The cabin is located on the southern part of Mille Lacs Lake in a small bay. There is no beach at the cabin and the lake is rocky with some weeds, but the water is clear. We rented the owner's pontoon (nothing fancy but clean) which came with life jackets and fishing rods, and enjoyed the true-Minnesota lake experience touring Mille Lacs Lake and fishing in various spots. The cabin has a large, shaded yard. The owners live next door and popped by daily to make sure all our needs were met. We hope to return to this beautiful cabin some day soon!"
