  • Very nice rental

"My wife and I along with another couple stayed at this rental in early August. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They even filled the fire wood bin and provided lighter fluid, a long lighter and paper for starting the fire. The patio was a grat place to sit even with a fairly busy road close by. The apartment is much larger than it appears in the pictures, was extremely clean and nicely decorated in an "up north" theme. There is a washer / dryer, full-size refridgerator and the big screen TV was very nice. Even things like the bath towels were very high quality. This rental is centrally located in the town and had plenty of off-street parking for our boat and trailer. We thought it was very reasonably priced and a terrific place to stay."

  • Peaceful Pines...

"...was true to its name! Very nice, clean, and homey place and fully stocked. True that you only need to bring your personal items to enjoy a beautiful week in Crosslake!! There are so many places to visit around this summer home. Take your bikes if you can!! But many things within walking distance too!! Craig and his Dad were very easy to work with and made our stay inviting!! We left a pair of sunglasses there and they even took the time to track them down and send them back to us!! Thank you!! This was a once in a lifetime family trip!! Do keep in mind tho that it really only does sleep 6 adults...7 if one would like to sleep on the sofa (not a roll out) in the living room! BTW...from the living room...The view of the sunset is incredible!!!! We so enjoyed our nightly fires on their beach...so beautiful! Thank you for these great memories we made!!"

  • Family time

"Awesome accomodations provided for 10 of us plus a toddler. Three floors of living space allowed for privacy for three separate couples and our grandchildren. Close to town, close to the water, nice pontoon available for rental, beautiful weather, and great fishing for walleye, bass, crappie, and pike on the chain of lakes! Wonderful family vacation with all the conveniences of home! The golf cart was a bonus for getting down to the water with coolers and fishing gear! Wendy and Gary were very nice people to work with!"

  • Quiet Solitude!

"What a beautiful & relaxing get-away! (We travelled from NC, PA and OH). The lake home is close to downtown Crosslake, yet secluded & quiet! Plenty of room for 10 adults and 2 teens. If you are looking for an adventure away from Crosslake, it is possible to drive north of Duluth to tour Gooseberry Falls, Betty's Pies and Split Rock Light House all in one fun day and still make it home before the sun sets. We will not hesitate to rent this house again for our next family reunion! The owner could not have been any more helpful - great and easy to work with - a man of his word."

This immensely popular vacation area has an ideal climate with warm summers and cold winters. Cross Lake cottages are in a region that is great for outdoor family vacations.

The village of Crosslake is situated within the Whitefish Chain, 14 interconnected lakes scattered with small islands.

Cross Lake vacation rentals are perfect for those who enjoy boating. The lake is one of 14 that link together to form a fantastic, large area to explore and enjoy the fishing. The small islands, scattered throughout the lakes make ideal places to stop and explore.

Around the lake is a trail for hikers and bikers to discover. At County Road 16, the trail links to the Paul Bunyan Trail. This trail is the longest bike trail in Minnesota, with 110 miles of mainly paved sections across a variety of terrains, from open, flat areas to beautiful hilly areas. Along the trail are lakes and swimming holes to enjoy. It is great for hikers and rollerbladers as well as biking enthusiasts. The trail links 15 towns within Minnesota, from Brainerd to Bemidji. Most of the towns have rest facilities, along with parks, shopping and attractions for visitors. During the snowy winter months, the trails are open for snowmobiling.
