Perfect setting and suberb experience in Lake Country
"We arranged to stay at Doug's lake home with some out of state friends for an adult get away and everything was perfect! The home, finishes, and furnishings are all incredible and Doug is one of the best owners to work with on planning a reservation. His place has amble room for larger parties and so many details to make the stay extremely comfortable. It was a prefect setting to share with our friends how Minnesotans vacation on the lake, and will reserve again in the future for our own family. The descriptions and pictures don't do justice to how great this place really is. Immediate access to Whitefish and surrounding lakes."

"We had a great time during our week here. We really loved the location on the lake. It was wonderful for skiing, tubing and floating. It was also close to connecting into the other lakes and restaurants on the lake. The cabin and dock were well maintained and the kitchen had just about anything a person could need. Thanks for sharing your cabin!"

"This was our second year in a row staying at DeeSide. It is a great place for families to stay because it has so much room to spread out. We are a small family (2 adults/2 kids & dog) so we didn't need all the bedrooms but the guest house with the pool table, foosball table and dart board is perfect for those rainy afternoons. The beach is an easy walk and it is great having the owner's boat available to use. The other great part is the fire pit. We love sitting out there roasting marshmallows and relaxing after a day on the water. There is also a washer/dryer in the basement which makes it so much nicer that you don't have to pack a ton of extra clothes because you can do a quick load of laundry if you need to. The location is spectacular because it is right on the WhiteFish chain so you can access all the other lakes through the channels. It is not far from the grocery store and all the places you need to get a bite to eat if you don't feel like cooking yourself. We loved staying there with the kids and highly recommend it for families with kids (>5yrs old so they can walk to the beach). Great stay every year and the owner is always very responsive with any needs you have while you stay."

"What a beautiful & relaxing get-away! (We travelled from NC, PA and OH). The lake home is close to downtown Crosslake, yet secluded & quiet! Plenty of room for 10 adults and 2 teens. If you are looking for an adventure away from Crosslake, it is possible to drive north of Duluth to tour Gooseberry Falls, Betty's Pies and Split Rock Light House all in one fun day and still make it home before the sun sets. We will not hesitate to rent this house again for our next family reunion! The owner could not have been any more helpful - great and easy to work with - a man of his word."
