"The home is right on the lake with fantastic views, and you can even hear the waves when you sleep in the master bedroom overlooking the lake. Everything was clean, plenty of supplies, and a great shower. The home has huge windows and French doors that make it open and bright. We biked on the state trail that goes from Villard to Glenwood past Lake Amelia and Villard Lake, and the new bike trail at Glendalough State Park around Molly Stark Lake and Annie Battle Lake. Both trails are paved and scenic.
We enjoyed hiking at the ski hill at the park right in Glenwood. We had a wonderful time, and hope to return to your lovely lake home. Thank you for making it available."

"We had a girls weekend at the Haven and had a great time. The house was very clean and well organized. We had everything we needed. Love the open kitchen, dinning and living room it is so cozy. The deck was so nice to sit out and watch the lake and have our coffee and meals on. It feels like home the minute you walk in the front door. We loved it!"

"Each year four couples get together for a few days. We have done this for 25 years. This year we went to Lake Pointe, as we enjoy the outdoors and thought. Alexandria, Minnesota would be a nice place to visit. When we looked at the website, we knew we were getting a nice house, but when we drove up and actually saw it we were totally amazed. We walked around the house not believing this place was ours for a few days. The outside has a nice pontoon and paddle boat that work well. The yard is absolutely gorgeous, with tables to seat many people along with a smaller table right close by the lake. There is also a fire pit close by the house with chairs there for eight people. We were there in early September and enjoyed the sunrise and sunset outside listening to the loons. At the time we were there, it was very quiet and peaceful since it was off season. You can fish from the dock if you like, but hang on to your rod as the bass will pull your rod right into the water! And that water is cold when trying to retrieve it. We can only imagine how beautiful it is right now with the leaves turning colors!
The inside of the house is huge and beautiful! There is a gourmet kitchen with beautiful granite countertops. Everything you need is right there. There is also a large formal dining room and living room. We mostly spent our time in the bright, cheery sunroom playing games or enjoying the outdoors, but believe me, if you need your space, you can find it here. I noticed there are many items available for children, like pack and plays, walker, high chair, rainbow play set etc...so this also would be a great place for family reunions. We loved our time there and in Alexandria. It would be very difficult to think anyone would not enjoy their time at Lake Pointe. The owner was also always available if we had any questions. Loved it!"

"First off, the house is amazing and really reasonably priced during the winter. It’s huge and there’s plenty of room for a people to congregate as one. We loved being able to cook, serve the food and eat all as one group at the table. The view of the lake is wonderful from both upstairs and downstairs. There’s a huge cabinet of games above the fridge in the kitchen. The hot tub was awesome to use in the winter. But as the owner warned us…you have to walk outside to get to the hot tub so your hands/feet can freeze as you’re going back into the house.
The ice fishing house that comes with the property is very small. It’s 6 holes and is good for about 3 or 4 people to be in at once. The communication was poor as far as how to get the ice house set up in working order. Make sure you contact the marina in advance (Phil’s Myr Mar Marina) and let them know you want the holes drilled and that you’ll be paying cash for it (about $30). You also need a battery to run the electricity in the ice house (i.e. have lights). During our trip (Feb 2015), you could see the ice house from the main house but needed to use the marina’s roads to access it.
Overall, great trip, lots of memories made and we’d love to come back in the summer!"
