"My husband and I have had the special gift of being able to enjoy this little slice of heaven for the last 5 years.
The location is so private and lovely. The home is beautiful inside and out and is stocked with everything you need. The last 4 years we have been there we have never left to go into town. I really enjoy gourmet cooking, but don't have the time normally so we use this time to make those wonderful meals, take long walks and boat around the lake! It definitely is a home away from home!"

"We rented the main house and boat house for 4 days while we were in the area for a family wedding. The house is huge! I looked it up on zillow and it's like 7000 sq ft. Immaculate condition. It was much nicer than we were expecting based on pictures. The master bedroom is amazing. They have two of anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Yard is open and very clean. It was too cold for us to swim, but beach would be perfect for swimming with a nice sandy beach and shallow water for young children to play in. Owners must be super techs because every room has a nice TV set up. I give this 5 stars without hesitation. Frankly I think it's pricing is under the market value of what they could be charging for a place like this. The only cons were that there is a massive deck that is under construction. It's was still very "clean" looking outside even though deck was clearly being built. Also there was a square hole in the basement that had plywood over it in the basement. I think they might have removed an in ground hot tube or something. Anyway, it was the only thing that made the basement seem unfinished. I perceived it as dangerous to walk on because the boards seemed springy and I was a littled worried about someone falling through. Owners are very straight forward and business like in their interactions with you. Lastly, while they didn't charge us for anything, the owners wanted a credit card on file for unlimited damages rather than taking a traditional deposit. I thought this was obsessive, but the owners were very straight forward and responsive to deal with. They don't leave you to wonder about anything. You will know exactly what your responsibilities are and what theirs are. All in all a wonderful experience and beautiful property."

"I've stayed in several high-end VRBO homes over the last few years - this home is top-notch. From top to bottom, the attention to detail in the home is incredible. My family spent as much time talking about the unique design elements and layout of the home as we did just about any other activity during our weekend stay.
While the sleeping arrangements may not be best-suited for multiple couples (one queen bed and then 5 singles), it was perfectly comfortable for our family of 5 (plus dog) and would be excellent for a group of 6-8 friends. The full house was wired for sound, and the new sound system was easy to control (wireless airplay from smart devices in the living room, and a plug in audio cord for the rest of the house). We cooked all of our meals in the home, and the kitchen was by far the best I've come across (industrial style range, multiple ovens, over-sized sink, multiple dishwashers, and every tool/dish required). The cabinets were filled with spices/oil/coffee filters/etc...all-in-all, it was perfectly prepared for a weekend of cooking and left us with only the primary contents needed for a meal.
It was a bit early in the season to be outdoors too much, as it was quite windy and difficult to safely manage a fire - but I'll be looking to get back up to this cabin to take advantage of the lake ASAP...the spring-fed lake was crystal clear (although just recently iced-out) and the walk-out beach provided a perfect swimming spot. We did, however, take advantage of the walking trail located right next to the home, and the views of the lake from inside the home made the location well worth it regardless of weather. Make sure to get up early for a beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake!
In summary, everything was in working order and extremely clean for our stay. I'd highly recommend a visit to John's cabin."

"This is a wonderful place to be for relaxing and taking in the awesome views of nature and wildlife. We have stayed in cabins from Oregon to North Carolina and this is the best one yet!
The accommodations were completely satisfactory and exactly what we expected.
Thanks so much to your family for being able to share in your piece of heaven."
