  • Fabulous cabin, neighbors too close

"We had such an amazing weekend. We found the cabin to be clean, functional, and really cool. Unfortunately we were too noisy for the neighbors by having 10+ people around the fire pit. The owner was very polite and patient while we got volume under control. With everybody celebrating indoors with windows and doors closed, we had a great time quietly enough. It was a bit of a shame being at a cabin in a beautiful area and staying indoors in nice weather."

  • Wonderful Anniversary Getaway

"My husband and I wanted to have a nice weekend getaway to spend our wedding anniversary. We couldn't have spent our time at a more wonderful location! The owner was very helpful and the beach house was fully stocked. Our weekend was a little cold and windy but that didn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful lake views from the large loft windows :) We will definitely be staying again!"

  • North Dakotans at Gull Lake

"Just finished an extended stay at the cabin. The view is second to none. From the kitchen, living room or deck you will get to see all the beautiful views of gull lake . There is a lot of sleeping space in the cabin. If you have a big family or a lot of guests you could find sleeping room for many people. Not only are there 4 bedrooms and pull outs you could even sleep kids on couches. So a couple of families could easily stay here. The kitchen is spacious and has everything for cooking or baking. The boat and jet ski lift really make it nice if you are bringing your own boat. On gull lake you can rent about anything you want to use. The location of the cabin is so close to eating and the golf resorts everybody sure has something they can do here. Sherry is second to none to work with. We came from another state and she did more than just rent us the cabin, she was helping us with great ideas about the gull lake area. She even found my wife a hair salon. If you ever had a concern Sherry would take care of it right away. She REALLY wants you to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend you staying here."

  • A perfect retreat (once again!)

"This was our third (3-night) stay at this fabulous lake home retreat. Once again, everything was sheer perfection for our 3-generation family-of-6. We arrived to the spotless lake home, with a delicious apple pie awaiting us. Each person got their own room (all beds are comfortable), so plenty of personal space, as well as ample shared spaces. There are three levels, with a full bathroom on each, a billiards room--where we compete each night, a screened-in, and an open deck, overlooking the lake. There is an open, airy feel to the home, with lots of natural light streaming in the skylight, and many windows. The stone (gas) fireplace adds a coziness in the mornings and nights. Each day, we spotted (and heard) four loons, and spent time on the water near them, (on a rented kayak, canoe, and pontoon boat). We enjoyed 2 bonfires (s'mores! no mosquitoes!) and experienced (from the front row!) one of northern Minnesota's quickly-passing, dramatic, lightening storms over the lake. My niece delighted in the nearby Wilderness Resort's indoor swimming pool (a short walk; $7/day), and games room. Joel and Shelley are the best hosts you can imagine. So thoughtful and genuine, and they know the area well. They will happily answer any questions you may have about the property, weather, activities in the area, etc."
