  • Family Getaway Weekend

"We were first timers for our family gathering, but we will definitely be back! This home is clean, well kept and has everything to keep all ages busy inside or out. A bonus for us was a short walk to shop, dine or enjoy a spa day at a nearby resort."

  • AWESOME cabins & property... HIGHLY recommeded.

"We just rented Pat & Jackie's cabins as a mini corporate retreat for our annual planning meetings and really enjoyed Gull Lake and this awesome property. This is truly one of a kind setup with the lake on both sides to see both the sunrise & sunset over the water. Guest house was newly renovated and included extremely comfortable beds & linens thru-out; everyone commented on a good night's sleep. Listening to the water lapping and loons singing with the lake breeze flowing thru your room made for an extremely relaxing night. Everything was very clean, nicely furnished, including fully equipped kitchens, screen porches, decks, docks on both sides, hardwood floors, etc. All helped to clear our minds and allowed to get our annual planning & goals set. And then enjoyed all that the area and property provided; including swimming, water skiing, fishing, grilling, campfires, poker game in the porch, dinner at the many nearby restaurants, and much, much more. Award winning golf courses are also nearby. We had guys fly directly into the Brainerd Airport and then a short drive to the cabins. Gull Lake is the premiere lake in Minnesota and this property provided the premiere MN experience. Pat & Jackie were very accommodating and the property is much nicer then the pictures can show. Highly recommended... We WILL be back again!"

"My husband and I have rented many properties , stayed in many time shares that were considered Gold Crown but none of them even come close to this property. It was very comfortable, very, very well supplied and clean. We loved the fishing and the view from the deck was great. The only challenge we had was that we had 2 in our party who struggle with negotiating steps and there are many especially going to the dock. We will be going back soon."

  • Guest Cabin Perfection

"We just returned from a week in Fred and Mary's guest cabin and couldn't have had a better vacation! The cabin is spacious, clean, well-appointed and the layout is terrific. Three and a half baths (2 showers and 1 tub) and 4 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen with a bunk bed, and two rooms with 2 twins in each) were perfect for our multi-family group. There is plenty of parking for when guests visit and the walk to Grandview, by beach or road, is only a few minutes. The beach area and dock were wonderful, though the lift did not accommodate our tri-toon, so we had to beach it. Having access to the amenities of Grandview was wonderful as well. We can't wait to come back next year!"

Gull Lake Travel Tips

Reasons to Choose Gull Lake Vacation Rentals

Gull Lake is one of the largest lakes in Minnesota. The surrounding shoreline and woodland has a good selection of cabins and cottages which are ideal for enjoying a quiet vacation. The area is popular with outdoor adventurers, fishing enthusiasts and golfers, and caters admirably for them all. Gull Lake is the largest in a chain of interconnecting lakes, making it possible to explore in a boat for miles. The man-made lake was created by the Gull Lake Dam and is 80 feet deep in places. Altogether, it is 15 miles long and around two miles wide. It is well stocked with bass, panfish, northern pike and walleye.

Beyond the lake, the area has plenty of small towns for shopping and exploring and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area. Gull Lake is a quiet area with many vacation homes and cottages scattered along its miles of wooded banks. It is the perfect choice for a relaxing vacation and families can do as they please. Many vacation homes come complete with kayaks and fishing rods as well as chairs to sit out on the porch and enjoy the views.

Although the area has plenty of restaurants, including some accessible by boat, a fully equipped cottage with a kitchen makes catering for the family easy, cheap and convenient. With several bedrooms and bathrooms, it is a civilized way to spend time with kids, family and friends without feeling cramped. Dig out some games and a couple of books and enjoy fun evenings by the fire.
