"I am sad to think that someone new is taking our place at this Cabin/Lake Home...It was an amazing week. Lot's of great memories were made. This Lake Home is incredible, so spacious, open to enjoy all's company, but plenty of get-a-way space if need be. I did not come a cross anything I needed in the kitchen that was not available.
The Foosball and bumper pool were a great fill in and was used a lot, then there is the bean bag toss that was also used.
The fire pit is a nice area, the old chairs by the pit were amazingly comfortable and very unique.
The fishing was OK.... we caught Bass, Northern, and walleye. You can catch plenty of pan fish, but never caught any that we considered large enough to keep. We did discover that trolling the shoreline is the way to go...we did catch some nice Bass at the little island right out from the cabin. Leeches and worms were the choice of the week for the fish.... and of course the white twister tails. We did do some night fishing from the dock, caught some nice bull heads and a dog fish, that was all our Grandson was after and he caught one... was nice to watch his happy dance. We were lucky enough to be night fishing during the meteor shower, it was an amazing show, we probably seen 20 shooting objects in the night sky.
The town of Aitkin will have all you need, its about 15 minutes from the cabin. They have a nice grocery store and anything else you would need.
We did go to Bingo at the Legion on Tuesday night (adults only) I won 66.00, had a few drinks...it was fun.
I want to thank the the owners for opening up their great home to us for the week.... it truly was an amazing place.... The Tipton's Cedar Rapids, Iowa"

"Recently stayed here for two weeks, This lovely vacation spot is in excellent condition and the location is convenient to everything in the Crosslakes area. The owner is very pleasant and co-operative. Also, we rented the pontoon and it ws a great ride in wonderful condition at a very competitive price. Highly recommended."

"This place was amazing. The pictures really don't do it justice; the home is open and spacious. We had 6 kids and they had so much to do, inside and out. Loved the hot tub, was very clean and easy to use. The home was very well equipped. Neighbors on both sides are very friendly. We had a really great time."

"I spent time at Heath's every summer during most of my childhood, so it is near and dear to my heart. I had the privilege of staying there last week with my husband and extended family - it was such a great time. The resort has had many updates and things added to it yet kept the same family fun feel. The beach is a rare treasure in size and toy offerings (both for kids at heart and the wee ones), the cabins are extremely well-kept (and this particular one looks just as nice as it did 10 years ago when I was there last), the view is breathtaking and the towns to explore nearby fill up the week fast! I would go back in a heartbeat. I hope you can experience the love of Heath's too."
