Everything I wanted it to be. The lake to ourself!
"How many people have it all and are willing to share? These people do! Everything they need to have a great time on the lake is here and they shared it with us. We have only bought our groceries, bug spray, sun block and fishing bait. We have enjoyed the canoe and the fishing boat. This home is quiet and secluded just like we wanted. The kitchen and bathroom are modern, clean and comfortable. The whole house is cleverly designed and stocked. We caught a 26 inch Northern Pike on our first trip out and several crappie, bass and perch since then. There have been very few other boats and people in this area of the lake. A couple of planes landed and took off the other day. There was a sail boarder out last night. We have 2 days left to catch a walley. The first night we ate pan fried walleye at Grizzly's in Baxter, a great meal. Walmart is 10 miles away. When we pulled up and saw a couple of campers setting back away from the house we weren't sure, but they are only used by family- when guests are not here. Kevin was a great host to show us around, make sure we had what we need and make sure we knew how to contact them for anything we needed. We feel very welcome and comfortable. The washer and dryer will be great Friday morning to wash the bed clothes, towels and a load of our fishy clothes. The whole place is well designed. There is a king bed and 2 queen beds available. We love sleeping on the 2 queen beds so we can go to sleep and wake up looking out the windows at the lake and listening to the loons. I read that the loons are more vocal in May to June. We still have been thrilled to hear their song. It was almost like the Chevy Chase movie the first night, while Kevin was showing us around - a loon called on cue! Mosquitoes are out in the evening, very few deer flys. We had loons setting around us on the lake one day. The pictures don't lie, everything you see is here, I napped in the hammock, we've sat on the bench looking out at the lake, there are chairs on the deck, a gas grill. The fish cleaning house has been a huge help. We are not sauna fans, but it looks awesome too. We couldn't ask for nicer hosts and a nicer house to stay in. If the Lord permits, we will certainly be back."

"My family of ten enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was clean and neat, and we really enjoyed the facility and lake. There was a contract that said I'd receive my damage deposit back after two weeks... it took almost four. The owner approved my paying a boat launch, indicating he would reimburse me for it. But it remains unpaid and the owner isn't responding to my email."

"A group of friends and I rented the lower units at Sundance Ridge over the 4th of July, and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The condos were great- very, very clean/well taken care of, and much bigger than we expected! Stu and Dixie were both extremely helpful in getting us set up in our condo and with the pontoon upon our arrival, and checked in throughout the weekend to make sure that everything was up to par. I would highly recommend any of my friends or family to stay at Sundance Ridge, we will certainly be back again!"

Exceptional rental lake home. Beautiful sanding bottom lake w/ great fishing action thru the week.
"The lake home met all our expectations! Not to fond of the usual steps to the upper bedrooms (seniors) but everything else was superb. . . Directv provided relaxed evenings after a day on the lake. . . finals of the NBA and NHL. It was great!! The 'convenience store' 2 miles away provided us with a well stocked groceries, live bait, gas, and hardware supplies, etc... has everything!!! This fishing vacation was the best that we five seniors have experienced in the past six years! We plan to return for years to come - presently, being blessed with good health. Very upgrade furnishings throughout the home. The owner John was very cooperative and satisfied our requests 100%. Looking forward to another super vacation in 2016!
We had several fish frys throughout the week - plenty of fish. First day, my Evinrude outboard was not performing well and we were recommended to Walker Outboard Service (I think that was the name) ...it was located about 12 miles east from Horseshoe Lake on county road 84/87. Great service/reasonable price. . . the motor ran great for the rest of the week! On Friday night, we drove over to the 'Salty Dog' and had a great evening meal . . . about 2 miles east from the lake home on county road 84. Great Time!!!!"
