  • July Family Vacation

"We arrived and the housekeeper was just finishing up and was very helpful with where to get groceries and fishing license and bait. The cabin was just as described. With the open windows and fans the cabin was very comfortable throughout the day with the lake breeze. The only problem we had during the stay was the pontoon boat broke down. Darby was very apologetic and worked with us to make our stay very enjoyable. We were able to continue fishing throughout the week. And the fishing was great. Lots of room for everybody and the game selection was fantastic. My kids learned how to play cribbage and the men learned how to play apples to apples. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing vacation."

  • Charming, clean cabin on the lake

"We rented this sparkling clean cabin for 3 nights during the week in August 2014. This cabin was the perfect relaxing, getaway. There were four adults in this cabin, which is the max I would do even though it can sleep six. There is one bathroom, a kitchen, a living room with a sofa-sleeper, one bedroom with queen bed and another bedroom with two twin beds. The cabin came with every possible amenity: two grills (one gas, the other charcoal), a fire pit with wood pre-stocked, inner tubes for swimming, fishing poles for fishing, wifi Internet access and plenty of DVDs and books for a rainy or relaxing day. The cabin was nicely decorated inside and out. The cabin is 20 feet from the shore with sliding glass doors that open onto a large deck with a nice patio table and chairs. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watched loons and other wildlife swim by. Just steps away from the cabin is your own personal dock and boat lift. The cabin is located on the southern part of Mille Lacs Lake in a small bay. There is no beach at the cabin and the lake is rocky with some weeds, but the water is clear. We rented the owner's pontoon (nothing fancy but clean) which came with life jackets and fishing rods, and enjoyed the true-Minnesota lake experience touring Mille Lacs Lake and fishing in various spots. The cabin has a large, shaded yard. The owners live next door and popped by daily to make sure all our needs were met. We hope to return to this beautiful cabin some day soon!"

  • Peaceful Pines...

"...was true to its name! Very nice, clean, and homey place and fully stocked. True that you only need to bring your personal items to enjoy a beautiful week in Crosslake!! There are so many places to visit around this summer home. Take your bikes if you can!! But many things within walking distance too!! Craig and his Dad were very easy to work with and made our stay inviting!! We left a pair of sunglasses there and they even took the time to track them down and send them back to us!! Thank you!! This was a once in a lifetime family trip!! Do keep in mind tho that it really only does sleep 6 adults...7 if one would like to sleep on the sofa (not a roll out) in the living room! BTW...from the living room...The view of the sunset is incredible!!!! We so enjoyed our nightly fires on their beach...so beautiful! Thank you for these great memories we made!!"

  • Family time

"Awesome accomodations provided for 10 of us plus a toddler. Three floors of living space allowed for privacy for three separate couples and our grandchildren. Close to town, close to the water, nice pontoon available for rental, beautiful weather, and great fishing for walleye, bass, crappie, and pike on the chain of lakes! Wonderful family vacation with all the conveniences of home! The golf cart was a bonus for getting down to the water with coolers and fishing gear! Wendy and Gary were very nice people to work with!"
