  • Quiet Solitude!

"What a beautiful & relaxing get-away! (We travelled from NC, PA and OH). The lake home is close to downtown Crosslake, yet secluded & quiet! Plenty of room for 10 adults and 2 teens. If you are looking for an adventure away from Crosslake, it is possible to drive north of Duluth to tour Gooseberry Falls, Betty's Pies and Split Rock Light House all in one fun day and still make it home before the sun sets. We will not hesitate to rent this house again for our next family reunion! The owner could not have been any more helpful - great and easy to work with - a man of his word."

  • Wonderful Cabin Experience

"My husband, me and our pup just returned from a lovely week at the Anderson cabin. The pictures are reflective of this charming property. The view of the lake from the cabin are amazing as are the sunsets. The cabin was clean and well-cared for with everything you need for a week at the lake. We experienced a quiet and serene week. The activity on the lake and in the neighboring cabins picked up over the holiday weekend but, it was still a relatively quiet lake with good fishing. My husband and brother-n-law caught several "nice" walleyes. Finally, Sandra and family were kind, respectful and responsive owners! We hope to be back."

  • We'll come back next year!

"It's hard to find a cabin 6' from the water in MN ... regulations now require more like 30'. But this one is right by the water. Everything clean and in good shape and comfortable. Nice fire pit right by the water, grill, place to clean fish, easy to get to. Deep water right off the dock allows for great fishing without a boat, though there is a boat lift if you have a boat. We caught sunnies, bluegill, bass and Northern Pike right off the dock. We saw Eagles every day, hawks, Northern Flicker, Blue Jay and more birds. Two restaurants on the lake are of good quality. No resorts on the lake which makes for quieter, more peaceful traffic both on roads and lake. Close to state parks, Brainerd, hiking, nature and anything you need, but not so close to Brainerd that it's over-populated ... you are definitely away from any large towns. Owners are fantastic to work with! It looks like we may finally be starting a yearly tradition. I said to my sons ... "don't you want to go different places" and they are pretty set on coming back here ... which is just fine with me."

  • Beautiful! Pictures don't do it justice!

"We rented the main house and boat house for 4 days while we were in the area for a family wedding. The house is huge! I looked it up on zillow and it's like 7000 sq ft. Immaculate condition. It was much nicer than we were expecting based on pictures. The master bedroom is amazing. They have two of anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Yard is open and very clean. It was too cold for us to swim, but beach would be perfect for swimming with a nice sandy beach and shallow water for young children to play in. Owners must be super techs because every room has a nice TV set up. I give this 5 stars without hesitation. Frankly I think it's pricing is under the market value of what they could be charging for a place like this. The only cons were that there is a massive deck that is under construction. It's was still very "clean" looking outside even though deck was clearly being built. Also there was a square hole in the basement that had plywood over it in the basement. I think they might have removed an in ground hot tube or something. Anyway, it was the only thing that made the basement seem unfinished. I perceived it as dangerous to walk on because the boards seemed springy and I was a littled worried about someone falling through. Owners are very straight forward and business like in their interactions with you. Lastly, while they didn't charge us for anything, the owners wanted a credit card on file for unlimited damages rather than taking a traditional deposit. I thought this was obsessive, but the owners were very straight forward and responsive to deal with. They don't leave you to wonder about anything. You will know exactly what your responsibilities are and what theirs are. All in all a wonderful experience and beautiful property."
