  • White Fish Chain - Pig's Bay Cabin

"Very nice. The lower den is more comfortable than the main floor. No side tables or lamps - at least not enough. It is nice to have broadband access along with WIFI. The exterior windows and decks needs to be power washed prior to a weeks lease - full of spider webs and debries. The interior is spotless and all accessories are made available. I suggest one bring their own pillows from home. Many steps down to the lake which is indicative of many of the properties on White Fish. Wonderful dock. Relatively no beach but very scenic from the ground level of the cabin. If available, My family will be back in two years - other plans next summer. The owners are wonderful to work with in securing the property and welcoming pets. I most assuredly recommend Manhatten Beach for dinner or lunch. Moonlight Bay is fun (stay away from it on weekends unless you're 23 years old and intoxicated). The Wharf has great food and a wonderful patio with boat docking steps away from the patio. Forget about Zorba's - what a dive and the food is miserable!"

  • Relaxing month vacation

"The listing description and photographs were very accurate. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our vacation a great experience. We would recommend this rental property to our friends and family. One of the important reasons we picked this unit was because it is pet friendly. Since we rented for a month, it was crucial that we could bring our 2 little dogs on vacation with us. The panoramic view of the lake was stunning and so relaxing. We loved just sitting on the deck and taking it all in! Bird watchers will enjoy the eagles soaring and the loons gathering on the lake. Night time brought the moon shining on the water and the stars lighting the sky. We had a great time with family and friends on our month get away and hope to return next summer. Many thanks to the owners for sharing their special place!"

  • Guest Cabin Perfection

"We just returned from a week in Fred and Mary's guest cabin and couldn't have had a better vacation! The cabin is spacious, clean, well-appointed and the layout is terrific. Three and a half baths (2 showers and 1 tub) and 4 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen with a bunk bed, and two rooms with 2 twins in each) were perfect for our multi-family group. There is plenty of parking for when guests visit and the walk to Grandview, by beach or road, is only a few minutes. The beach area and dock were wonderful, though the lift did not accommodate our tri-toon, so we had to beach it. Having access to the amenities of Grandview was wonderful as well. We can't wait to come back next year!"

  • Family Reunion

"Our family spent a week at this house for a family reunion. Booking the resort went smoothly and they were accomdating for the dates we needed. The house is very nice but is in need of a few updates. The master bedroom in the basement bed is in need of replacement. The couch on the main floor is worn out (especially on the end near the TV). It feels like the bottom is broken. Most of the furniture in the house could use to be updated. We had ordered a crib but upon arrival we learned from the maintenance man that there was no crib available. The maintenance man was very prompt in attending to our needs - check the whirlpool for chemicals, replaced a broken handle on the patio door, brought us additional silverware as we were running out regularly. The front door handle is very hard to open and maintenance is aware of the problem. The house sleeps 10 comfortably but additional sleeping would be on couches and loveseats - no hide-a-beds. We assumed the listing of sleeps 10-16 would accomdate our group of 15 but a couple people ended up sleeping on loveseats or the floor and scrambling for pillows and blankets. The property is in a quiet residential area which worked out great for our group. The screened in porches were spacious and let us enjoy the outdoors without all the bugs. The property is not close to the amenities of Breezy Point resort but rather more than a mile walk. We did not use the Breezy facilities but they appeared nice and would be just a short drive. The convenience store/grocery was adequate for needed items. Having a washer and dryer was a great asset to the property - I think the iron in the water made the washer look a little dirty but we had no problem with it getting things clean. The garage is a 3 stall but a boat is in the 3rd stall. We had a great time and made things work. The size of the house is great for a large group. The privacy is excellent. You need a car to fully enjoy the area and the amenities. I would have liked to see wi-fi at the property as it would be inconvenient to check emails without a smart phone. We didn't try going to the lobby of the resort as it would have been very inconvenient."
