  • Title is fine

"Great location except for trying to go for a bike ride or walk with stroller. Coming out of the area where the house is located is difficult with traffic. Would be nice to have a side walk in that section so it is not so dangerous for about 2 blocks. After that you can go into a neighborhood with playgrounds and trails and it is great. The house was great. It was pretty clean and we received fast service for a plugged bathtub and request to get the dock in. Could have used more deep cleaning and dusting although we understand the tight timetable turn around. The interior photo's were very accurate. The exterior photo's were a bit more unclear. We did not realize that there was a road/bridge directly across the water that you see when sitting outside but the noise was minimal. I would recommend it to a friend and actually a friend came by and said they would keep the place in mind after they move this summer for when they want to come back to Minnesota for a visit. Como park zoo, and Mall of America were places we visited and enjoyed. Also, enjoyed the nearby boardwalk and parks.. All in all the house was great and we appreciated the wonderfully equipped kitchen and bathrooms with shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels. Great access to the water from the dock and for swimming or fishing or boating. Nice that it was located in the slow wake zone of the lake so that there was little wake/noise from passing boats. Wonderful outdoor patio, gas grill and fire-pit. Beautiful sunrises over the lake."

  • Comfortable home in a great location

"We stayed here right after Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The photos are accurate and the areas of the house that aren't photographed (bathroom and second bedroom), are nice. Everything was very clean and the owners have provided little practical amenities such as aluminum foil, soap in the bathroom, etc. The house had the vibe of coming home, rather than an empty, impersonal place. The property isn't luxurious, but it was quite easy to settle in here and enjoy the home and neighborhood. Having a Kowalski's grocery store a block away is a great bonus, and the whole Grand Avenue neighborhood is filled with fun shops and restaurants. The owners were very accommodating and generously provided a gift card to their business, Grand Ole Creamery. I highly recommend the Coffee Break ice cream. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and I'd recommend this place!"

  • Wonderful place to stay

"Family members came together to move our Mom from Annandale to St. Joe and this was just the perfect house for our stay. Plenty of room for everyone and so much better than two small rooms at the one hotel in town. The house is big and very comfortable. It was a great place to be with our long days of sorting, packing and moving. We started our mornings together over breakfast and ended our long days with either dinner or snacks before heading to our own bedrooms. Minnesota was it's typical cold temps (we moved in 5 below), but we were toasty in the house. The master bedroom is very large and nicely furnished. The kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need. The owner was thoughtful and the caretaker very nice. We will stay there again in the future and highly recommend it to others."

  • Quiet, cozy, comfy, safe

"I stayed at 555 Grand Hill for five weeks. It was just what I needed--a comfortable retreat with easy access to shopping and other amenities. I-94 is nearby, Grand Avenue is one-half block away, and downtown St Paul is easy to get to. In the apartment, I had everything I needed for cooking. The bed was luxurious as was the shower. All of that, plus privacy and quiet, and as an older single woman traveling alone I appreciated the locked main entry and the neighborhood sidewalks. I walked my beagles three times a day and always felt at home. Stacey was always available to answer questions. The apartment was clean. Wifi always worked. I recommend 555 without hesitation. Susan"
