"We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Point. It was a great vacation for our family. We were traveling with two small boys (2 1/2 and 18 months). It was very helpful to have the extra space for them to move around and play. The deck and the path to the lake were great areas for the kids to play and for us to relax while they slept! The location is truly perfect. Easy walk to Canal Park and a quick drive to so many other attractions. For those traveling with small children there is a playground nearby (less than 1/2 mile) and a playground at Bayfront Park. The house was clean and well maintained. I would absolutely recommend the house for anyone looking to enjoy some time in Duluth!"

"This rental was a good value for the amount of space and privacy the home offers. Three bedrooms (two upstairs, one downstairs) with 3.5 bathrooms and an alcove in the downstairs with another bed. The three bedrooms are very private and you can all enjoy the house without having to hear or bump into each other all the time. It is a tiny walk to the beach through some beach grass and you can then easily walk in either direction on a clean sandy beach. An easy walk to the Canal Park shopping, dining, and activity area (with frequent stops to enjoy the Aerial Lift Bridge going up or down). If you like fishing, the owners give a discount on their fishing charter which is located in the marina right across the street. The only negatives are a few non-working lights and that the grounds are not well maintained - overgrown bushes and weeds, sandy debris accumulating heavily on the outside stairs to the downstairs suite, etc. But we didn't spend much time in the yard with a Lake Superior beach just steps away!"

"We have been raving to all our friends about this wonderful, cozy, quaint (but by no means small) cottage. Loved it. Close to town. Close to food. Close to the lake. Had a wonderful time and definitely want to come back. Sorry we didn't get you guys over for a glass of wine or the "glug". My son in law who was with us is Norwegian so we all fit right in to the area. Did lots of hiking and climbing. Came back sore but loved it all. Waterfalls upstate were beautiful. Hope to stay again. Thanks again, we were truly impressed. Got lots of use out of the sauna - WOW!!!"

"I stayed in the house with my husband, mother and father-in-law, grandmother-in-law, and brother-in-law. The house was absolutely fantastic! It was very roomy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owner met us when we first arrived to greet us but then left us to enjoy each other's company. She was very open to us stopping by if we had any questions or needed anything (although we had no reason to do that). We enjoyed hanging out on the porch, walking on the beach, and, when it got cold out, hanging out in the comfortable living room. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. It's also very close to the Canal Park area and you could easily walk or ride a bike down to that area if you didn't want to drive. The only slight drawback is that there is only one bathroom so when you have 6 people sharing it was a little cumbersome. However, I would not let that be a deterrent from staying here again. If/when I return to Duluth, this is where I want to stay!"
