"Well our crew gathered for our annual snowshoeing trip and found the cabin to be a wonderful and comfortable way to spend a great weekend. We explored Ely, the International Wolf Center, Kawishiwi Falls Trail and found the portage into Twin Lake at the end of Everett Lake. We love the cabin as it gives us (and a couple of dogs) space to spread out, enjoy the fire, the views, TV and WIFI when you need it and of course the Sauna! This is our fourth year at the cabin and we'll be back next year!"

"Choose Ely for a vacation after seeing the BBC documentary of the Bears in UK. Built a three week holiday around this, taking in Ely for the middle week. Choose this cabin for its location, on the lake and fishing opportunities. Four of us arrived on a beautiful sunny day, our individual opinions, very well equipped, everything home from home. Welcome pack a great touch thank you. Wonderful use of the canoes for the men, fabulous sunsets most nights even after a day of torrential rain. So peaceful but still close enough to civilisation for us townies. Ate most nights from the BBQ buying great food from ZUPS, unfortunately had to eat inside due to the mosquetos. Here of the party got bit quite badly, thank goodness we brought some spray with us. Felt it was a shame we could not make use of the furniture on the deck. Was told in town when buying more spray that this year was very bad of the mosquetos. Of course we loved the Bear and Wolfe Sanctuarys. And was lucky one evening on our drive home to see a Wolfe trying to cross the road. Hope one day to return, leave tomorrow for our onward trip to Minneapolis and then Chicago for flight back to UK. Thank you Laurel and Carol for making our stay in your part of the world fantastic and we will never forget. X"

"My husband and I absolutely loved our time at this cabin! We felt like we had our own little piece of isolated heaven. The cabin was nice and clean, great fire place and interior setup, and we had amazing adventures canoeing around all the islands on Burntside Lake. We would definitely come again and recommend it to everyone!"

"This was a great home. We have three boys and there was plenty of space for them to run, swim and relax. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The home has nice extras like spices, baggies and little details so if you forget something you're not up a creek. Some areas could use some updating but everything worked, no tricks, and all of us were very comfortable.
The location of the home is nice as it is a short drive into town and is close to lots of outdoor activities if you want to adventure out for the day. The lake had lots of loons on it and we were able to canoe very close to them going in and out of the bay.
The owner was very nice and easy to work with. She met us there to answer any questions and showed us where everything was at. I am very pleased with the experience and would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone seeking the same."
