"My husband and I along with our 4 grown children, 2 son-in-laws and 2 grandchildren enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful home. The whole experience was fantastic! We boated, tubed, fished and swam almost every day. The home theater was phenomenal and we watched our favorite movies every evening. We are already planning a return stay next year. The owners were very good to work with."

"Trails End is a wonderful cabin tucked away in a beautiful wooded area on a peaceful lake. Our host, John couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Hiking, canoeing, and scenic drives filled our days while sipping wine and reading a good book made for a wonderful evening. The Boathouse Friday Fish Fry was delicious. The perfect getaway :) !"

Beautiful, Spacious Home on Lake Superior 2 1/2 Miles North of Gooseberry Falls
"Beautiful views of Lake Superior. Large and spacious home allowed the family to have plenty of room. Towels, linens, pillows, bedding and mattresses were very good and comfortable. Well-equipped kitchen provided pots and pans even for the gourmet cooks we had among us. The screened in porch was a fun feature to have breakfast and/or lunch and view the lake. A large dining room table provided room to eat, chat, play cards and games and view the lake. Close to Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, Lutsen Slide (a little further away), many beautiful hiking trails, Gitchigumi Bicycle Trail. Some of the family went out with a fishing guide and caught Lake Trout (largest=11 pounds). They also fished in some of the streams that feed into Lake Superior and caught Brook Trout. (Beautiful and delcious!)
Some features needing possible improvement: Almost nonexistent internet access and very difficult to send a text message. We could neither make nor receive cell phone calls. While this is generally good when you are on vacation, the rest of the family was staying 15 miles south of us and we could not communicate with them. Window coverings and a closet would help the 4th bedroom upstairs. A special thank you to the owners for providing a beautiful rental house."
