"Excellent cozy cabin that is right on the water with perfect level lakeshore and a hard sandy bottom to boot! We were up there with friends and were also able to rent a pontoon from the owners for the week. The cabin yard is perfect for grilling and yard games and the lake is absolutely fantastic. There are islands to explore, beaches, and you can boat to a beautiful golf course or go play sand volleyball at Zorbaz. Lots of fun and we all hope to be back again next summer!"

"Overall, we had a very nice stay at the cabin on Lake Superior. The location is secluded, making it great for a romantic getaway or some family bonding time. The cabin is right on Lake Superior and you can walk on the rocks right on the water. The cabin is well maintained and clean, but definitely on the rustic side because of the secluded location. It has all the amenities that you need except for cell phone service/wifi--great if you are looking to disconnect. The location is very close to Lutsen and all the activities in the area, and only a 15 minute drive to Grand Marais. It is a little hard to find, but worth it."

"Thought we would try VRBO to see what it was like. There were 7 of us and thought it would be more fun to stay
at one place. We were not disappointed! Worked out great for us and will definitely stay again. House very clean and kitchen had everything we needed for the weekend. One bathroom upstairs only- for seven takes a little planning and patience though. Within walking distance to Superior Street and Canal Park for the fit (walk home is uphill 7 blocks) but not bad if you take your time and work your way there. Enjoyed the weekend very much, wished we had stayed longer and will next time! Rental process and access to property was easy. All information needed on the Fridge after arrival. Dave and Linda are very responsive and great to deal with.
Thanks Again! We will plan on staying with you again next time!"

"I stayed at the Northwoods Retreat for a long weekend with a friend, her 10 year old daughter and my two Border Collies, and I cannot say enough good things about it! Everything was exactly as advertised and exceeded all my expectations. It was comfortable, quiet, peaceful, remote and relaxing. There were plenty of supplies in the cabin and lots of dry wood for our nightly bonfires. The Border Collies and I started every morning off with a jog down the logging road and back then down the road a half mile to Morcom Lake to cool off, followed by a hike in the woods on a 4 wheeler trail there. I never saw a soul, I felt like we had the area all to ourselves. We checked out some other 4 wheeler trails by the cabin and in the State Forest area nearby, and I found several more to check out next time. There were lots of ripe raspberry bushes near the cabin which was an extra treat, and the minimal mosquito population was an unexpected bonus. It was an unusually hot weekend (90 degrees during the day), so we didn't try the sauna, but it sure looked nice. Outside of hiking we spent our days lounging in the yard reading and enjoying the amazing peace and quiet and the beauty of nature around us. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and I definitely look forward to our next visit very soon!"
