"We stayed here with several adults and 7 children and had a wonderful time. There are definitely fish to be caught off the dock and swimming to do, though as someone else mentioned water shoes are a must, really almost everywhere around this area as it's mostly rocky shore. The cabin is clean and well stocked; the kitchen in particular has more "stuff" in it than usual, including knives that work and spices/sugar. There isn't much around the area for groceries though, so whatever you want to have with you, you should bring.
We rented a pontoon boat from Pine Point Lodge and the owners Jeff and Cathy were great; they gave us a map marked with all the places to check out including several little beaches that were tucked away and a lot of fun to explore, and were just a couple minute boat ride away when we needed bait (or realized we forgot toothbrushes).
There is another cabin right next door, and if there are people there you will be sharing the dock area with them. Our "neighbors" were very nice, and it's no big deal, but maybe good to know that you will be in close proximity to other people if that cabin is rented.
One other small thing to note; there is Wi-Fi, but when I tried to use it I got a message saying that it had all been used for the month. Obviously one isn't there for the Wi-Fi-, but as I was planning to download my book onto my iPad once I go there, that was kind of a bummer. Take care of any important online tasks before you get there.
The area is remote and really beautiful. Most of the places we went we had to ourselves. We absolutely loved it, and will be back."

"We would recommend this cabin for anyone looking to spend time on the beautiful lakes in the BWCAW. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was complete! The cabin was on a lake in which we could portage to other lakes for day trips or drive to other lakes for either overnighters or hiking. Perfectly located, close enough to town for shopping, but far enough out to feel "out there" The owners were so easy to work with. The kayaks and extra canoes are great fun. Plus it was great to be able to bring our dog!!
Thanks for a great week!"

"My fiance and I rented the cabin for a week long getaway. The cabin was comfortable and clean. Caught plenty of fish and really appreciated the boathouse as it rained most days we were there. The cabin was close to the public landing and town, Cook, is just a short drive away. The driveway down to the cabin was a little rough but we managed to get in and out. Enjoyed that fact that we were merely 50 ft from the lake and it was relatively level. We had a great time. Thanks for letting us share your cabin."

"I stayed in the house with my husband, mother and father-in-law, grandmother-in-law, and brother-in-law. The house was absolutely fantastic! It was very roomy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The owner met us when we first arrived to greet us but then left us to enjoy each other's company. She was very open to us stopping by if we had any questions or needed anything (although we had no reason to do that). We enjoyed hanging out on the porch, walking on the beach, and, when it got cold out, hanging out in the comfortable living room. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. It's also very close to the Canal Park area and you could easily walk or ride a bike down to that area if you didn't want to drive. The only slight drawback is that there is only one bathroom so when you have 6 people sharing it was a little cumbersome. However, I would not let that be a deterrent from staying here again. If/when I return to Duluth, this is where I want to stay!"
