  • We thoroughly enjoyed this home

"My sisters and I spent several nights in this charming home. The place was beautifully clean, and very welcoming. The architecture was noteworthy, and we enjoyed all the extra touches in the home's design and furnishings. The cottage was just as described. Nights were quiet and restful. We were able to drive to Canal Park in only a few minutes. This was a first trip to Duluth for one of us, and we took in much of what I like to think of as characteristic of Duluth. We enjoyed a boat cruise, Glensheen tour, Gooseberry Falls, and Skyline Drive. The Seven Bridges road was closed while we were there, but we were able to get to the first bridge easily before the closure. Of course, Mexican food at Little Angie's on Canal Park was on our agenda too. This Hillside Cottage provided a peaceful respite at days end. Thanks for sharing your home with us."

  • Great place to stay!

"The listing description was accurate in every way and the home was immaculately clean and nicely updated in every way. The views of the lake from the back bedroom were wonderful and we were able to watch a couple freighters move about the waters. Heather was most helpful providing all we needed to know about the home. It was very close to Canal Park and all its attractions, easily walkable in good weather. We would definitely recommend this rental and plan to return ourselves next year."

  • Perfect for the weekend or longer!

"This one bedroom apartment was great. It was close to downtown and all the main roads. The apartment was clean and very large for the price. The owner had great communication with us before and everything was wonderful. I will be staying here again when I return to Duluth. Thanks!"

  • Ella's Inn is a winner!

"Ella's Inn is a wonderful eclectic immaculate kept Inn! All rooms are spacious with fresh clean linens on the comfy beds and plenty of towels etc. for a house full! Fully stocked kitchen, was a plus! (Incase you want to cook some or all of meals there) It is only a block and 1/2 from town and makes it easy to walk to and from. Never having to use your car. You can sit and enjoy the flowers on the front stoop, or a shady garden on the side. At night if you aren't pooped from site seeing you can sit by a roaring fire in the back yard. The owners Terry and Lori make you feel right at home and don't care that you and your family are loud when playing games at night! I would stay at Ella's again. I had family that stayed in town and they wished they had reserved a room at Ella's. Thank you Lori and Terry for opening up your home to our family. We had a great time!"
