"We thoroughly enjoyed our two night three day stay at Ledgerock. We were able to check in early on Sunday which was great as we arrived earlier than expected. As we entered the home the sun was gleaming across the lake which was breathtaking, everyone hesitated to unpack so as not to miss a minute of it.
The home is very grand and has an enormous amount of room to gather and enjoy each other. The kitchen is very well stocked with all important utensils and pans.
Our small group of 6 will continue to check the availability of Ledgerock for our getaways."

"We stayed here with several adults and 7 children and had a wonderful time. There are definitely fish to be caught off the dock and swimming to do, though as someone else mentioned water shoes are a must, really almost everywhere around this area as it's mostly rocky shore. The cabin is clean and well stocked; the kitchen in particular has more "stuff" in it than usual, including knives that work and spices/sugar. There isn't much around the area for groceries though, so whatever you want to have with you, you should bring.
We rented a pontoon boat from Pine Point Lodge and the owners Jeff and Cathy were great; they gave us a map marked with all the places to check out including several little beaches that were tucked away and a lot of fun to explore, and were just a couple minute boat ride away when we needed bait (or realized we forgot toothbrushes).
There is another cabin right next door, and if there are people there you will be sharing the dock area with them. Our "neighbors" were very nice, and it's no big deal, but maybe good to know that you will be in close proximity to other people if that cabin is rented.
One other small thing to note; there is Wi-Fi, but when I tried to use it I got a message saying that it had all been used for the month. Obviously one isn't there for the Wi-Fi-, but as I was planning to download my book onto my iPad once I go there, that was kind of a bummer. Take care of any important online tasks before you get there.
The area is remote and really beautiful. Most of the places we went we had to ourselves. We absolutely loved it, and will be back."

"This rental was a good value for the amount of space and privacy the home offers. Three bedrooms (two upstairs, one downstairs) with 3.5 bathrooms and an alcove in the downstairs with another bed. The three bedrooms are very private and you can all enjoy the house without having to hear or bump into each other all the time. It is a tiny walk to the beach through some beach grass and you can then easily walk in either direction on a clean sandy beach. An easy walk to the Canal Park shopping, dining, and activity area (with frequent stops to enjoy the Aerial Lift Bridge going up or down). If you like fishing, the owners give a discount on their fishing charter which is located in the marina right across the street. The only negatives are a few non-working lights and that the grounds are not well maintained - overgrown bushes and weeds, sandy debris accumulating heavily on the outside stairs to the downstairs suite, etc. But we didn't spend much time in the yard with a Lake Superior beach just steps away!"
