"We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin is well taken care of and we had no problems at all. The bonfires were awesome and we had fun fishing on the lake (brought our own boat). Our week stay was quite misty but when it cleared, the view of the lake was amazing! I always received prompt responses if I had questions before our stay and it was very easy to get ahold of the owners during our stay if necessary. Thank you for a great family trip!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this rental in Duluth, the big kitchen was great and well equipped, we left some insulated cups and a large chip dish for taking outside and not worrying about harming the rental dishes. We had 2 toddlers and it was perfect for their playtime. The could crawl around the big area and walk around the furniture. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very nice. Our favorite place was the long dining table where we ate, played games and just sat around talking. Thanks for the great time and place. It was a perfect place for our large group and we had a wonderful time with our relatives from Duluth. I would encourage anyone to rent this place."

"Great cabin with beautiful views of Lake Superior. The cabin is secluded, yet easy to find with Shawn's directions. It was stocked with plenty of firewood and everything we needed. The loft has great views. We used the wood stove a two mornings when it was cool but the heated floor kept it plenty warm in the evenings.
It wasn't really warm enough to make much use of the screened porch, but it's large and would be a much-used space in warmer weather, including as a sleeping porch. The wrap-around deck was a great place to sit and watch the stars and the big ships headed toward Duluth. One nice surprise about the cabin is realizing that Shawn built it - we really enjoyed the books about cabin building and learning how the place came together.
Our late April visit meant nearly empty state parks - and Tettegouche is an amazing place - and so close. We also did day trips to Temperance River and Cascade state parks. We made great use of the book on the shelf with info about great hikes on the North Shore under three miles!
There is a good sized grocery store five miles away in Silver Bay, so no need to bring a lot of food along, you can get what you need nearby.
All in all a very memorable and enjoyable way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Thanks!"
