"This rental was a good value for the amount of space and privacy the home offers. Three bedrooms (two upstairs, one downstairs) with 3.5 bathrooms and an alcove in the downstairs with another bed. The three bedrooms are very private and you can all enjoy the house without having to hear or bump into each other all the time. It is a tiny walk to the beach through some beach grass and you can then easily walk in either direction on a clean sandy beach. An easy walk to the Canal Park shopping, dining, and activity area (with frequent stops to enjoy the Aerial Lift Bridge going up or down). If you like fishing, the owners give a discount on their fishing charter which is located in the marina right across the street. The only negatives are a few non-working lights and that the grounds are not well maintained - overgrown bushes and weeds, sandy debris accumulating heavily on the outside stairs to the downstairs suite, etc. But we didn't spend much time in the yard with a Lake Superior beach just steps away!"

"My husband and I came to get away for a few days from the Twin Cities to celebrate our first anniversary. Husband said it was the best vacation he's ever had. The property is lovely, very quaint and well kept with a lovely deck and grassy area with shade, a little dock and very pleasant swimming area with a sandy lake bottom. the screened in patio was great for meals and the deck chairs for star gazing. Used the charcoal grill every night for dinner. Lots of quiet beauty on this small lake. Even had some visits from a curious fox. If you want a quiet comfortable getaway, this is it. Can't wait to come back."

"I was hooked as soon as we started down the well maintained gravel road just getting lost in the scenery on our way to the cabin. It was everything we imagined it would be! The cabin was right on the edge of the lake! Just beautiful as you could see right out the front on to the lake from the top floor. This cabin was fully equipped with all most everything you have at home for cooking every meal. The furniture was very comfortable and plenty of seating for a whole family. If its chilly you can use the beautiful stone fireplace to warm you up! Did I mention the view right out of the living room and kitchen windows absolutely wonderful! If you can make yourself leave this cabin you can grab your fishing poles and fish right of the dock below! Bass, Walleyes, and Perch kept me tossing my line out. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to get away from the city life and relax to a beautiful sunset on the lake."

"This was our second time staying on Big Ole in this fabulous cabin and it was just as beautiful as last time. The cabin is more than perfect for a nice week to get away. We had more than enough room for the four of us in the cabin. My daughters (8 & 2) loved fishing and swimming in the lake everyday and using the paddle boat. We had a blast fishing everyday as well and caught some nice crappies and a bass. We are looking forward to next years stay! Thank you Brian!!!!"
