"We stayed at Ivers place for the Two Harbors rollerblade marathon. It was the perfect place to stay as far as location and peacefulness. Duluth is only about 20 mins away and Ivers place is very close to down town two harbors. The house is very clean, has an extremely big lot with a bonfire pit, and even has a full kitchen for all our cooking needs, including grill. It was also important that we stay someplace were we were able to get a good nights sleep before the race. On our way we did see how close the railroad tracks were to the house but we had no problems sleeping. I don’t even remember hearing one train go by. We stayed Fri-Sun. Since we all had to work before our drive to the house we arrived after 7pm. The owners of the house were very accommodating and helpful with our late arrival. It worked out perfectly! It was very nice to be able to get up in the morning and do our traditional things like making coffee, eating breakfast, watching a little TV, and even sitting outside on the chair swing. The house was very cute and homey with lots of decorations. The bonfire pit was one of our favorites. We made a pretty big fire and order pizza (yes they were able to deliver to the house). We could have sat by the fire all night; it was so peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be staying there again next year!"Guest: Molly G Date of Stay: September 2013 Review Submitted: October 8, 2013View listing
"We had a great time celebrating a retirement at the home with 4 couples. There was plenty of room for all of us to gather, whether it was in the living room, dinner table, or screened-in patio. The home was clean and ready to go when we got there. I would highly recommend staying here. If you enjoy cycling there is a great trail right off the driveway. I only wished that there was a little more sitting room outside, but the screened-in porch was great (and kept the bugs away!)."Guest: Teresa H. "My husband and I stayed here with our sisters after our son's wedding. Our sisters were from British Columbia and Georgia, so it was a special reunion time with them....and we needed to impress them with the Midwest! They were suitably impressed both with the scenic location, and the beautiful architecture and decor of the home. The beauty and comfort of the place was the perfect balm for my husband and myself after the hecticness of the wedding. Reservations with Lisa worked seamlessly."Guest: Kathy Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 21, 2014View listing
"We recently stayed here on a short North Shore getaway. It's ideal for visiting Split Rock, Gooseberry, and Tettegouche. The house was comfortable, well stocked, and all communication was smooth, quick, and very easy. Loved the wooded area surrounding the house. Nice view of the lake. Really couldn't have asked for much more."Guest: DRL Date of Stay: October 2010 Review Submitted: October 25, 2010View listing
