Duluth Regional Airport has regularly scheduled flights from Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport. From the Twin Cities, you can get flight connections to most major cities in the United States and Canada. The trip takes approximately three hours, depending on traffic.

There are several State Parks within close proximity to Two Harbors. The Gooseberry Falls State Park is just 13 miles from Two Harbors. The Split Rock Lighthouse State Park is named after the historic lighthouse that is located within the park grounds. Historical tours can be organized from the information center. The Tettegouche State Park covers 9,300 acres and is the largest park in the area. The park incorporates six inland lakes as well as numerous stunning waterfalls. The park includes two-and-a-half miles of Lake Superior shoreline. Popular activities include rock climbing, hiking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and kayaking.

There are two outdoor and one indoor ice skating rinks at the Two Harbors County Arena and another two in the town. Both are well-lit outdoor rinks and located at Odegard Park and Segog Park. There are numerous trail systems that originate or pass through Two Harbors. The Gitchi-Gama State Trail is for pedestrians, skaters and cyclists. The Sonju Hiking Trail is open during the summer months and a great way to experience the natural beauty of the north shore. Cross country skiers can follow the Erkki Harju Ski Trail and enjoy equally spectacular views. Some of the top snowmobile trails include the Northshore State Snowmobile Trail, the Brimson Snowmobile Trail, and the Yukon Snowmobile Trail.
