  • Home away from home

"My group and I arrived on the 7th of March and reserved the cabin for the weekend for a guys fishing trip. Upon arriving, we walked in and did not expect the place to be as big as it would be for the price we paid for. Everything in the cabin was clean, there was more than enough space for the eight of us, and even some personal hygiene supplies were supplied. Even though we did not stay in the cabin as much as we had liked to, I think this cabin would make a good place to stay whether for fall, winter, spring, or summer. Located next to Leech lake and not too far from town, it made it easy for our group to travel around the lake. I did not get to thank Rick and Liz for allowing my group to stay at their cabin, but I am thankful for them doing so. Will most likely be renting again in the future if my group decides to come back up. Thanks again!"

  • As good as you think

"This place is as good as you think it is when you read the listing. We had a great week on the lake with boating, fishing, loon-listening (yes, that is a thing) and just relaxing. We especially loved the screened porch and the privacy of the location. Next time we will bring our bikes since there's a trail connection close by. Boat launch is close by, and I highly recommend the new BBQ place in Walker."

  • Gorgeous Lake Home

"Howard Lake is perfect for fishing and family fun. This home gave our family much enjoyment and we all had a great time catching crappie, bluegill and bass. I would recommend this home to anyone. It has just about everything you can think of and it's such a great place to just relax by a fire outside of just sit and look at the lake."

  • Gorgeous Log Cabin on Lake

"Our experience was great! The views of the lake were spectacular, along with a dock and boat rental a mere five minute walk down the gravel road. The home was luxurious and very accommodating. Great bedrooms, family areas, pool table and a kitchen of a home chef's dreams."

Leech Lake Travel Tips

Put Your Feet up and Relax at Leech Lake Vacation Rentals

When you’re planning your Leech Lake vacation, the first decision is where you’re going to stay. To make your vacation to Leech Lake one to remember, look into vacation rentals. What’s great about vacation rentals is they’re real homes with living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms (plural!), and a full-sized kitchen. At a hotel, you’re lucky to get two queen-sized beds, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. With vacation homes, you can really spread out and enjoy your vacation. Most people don’t think they can afford a vacation home. The secret that most people don’t know is vacation homes are actually comparable in price to hotel rooms—sometimes they even cost less! And with amenities such as private pools, private beaches, hot tubs, and game rooms, how could you pass up the opportunity on VRBO.com today!

So Many Activities Near Your Leech Lake Lodging

Leech Lake has so many activities you won’t get bored. At Leech Lake, one of the most popular activities is fishing. Leech Lake is nationally recognized as one of the gamefish lakes. This means that it’s regularly stocked with northern pike, bass, blue gills, and more! Other summertime activities include golfing, boating, hunting, and horseback riding. In the winter there are many activities including skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. And all year, you can go shopping and to the casinos in the area. The Chippewa National Forest is a popular destination for the Leech Lake area because of its beauty and adventure.

At the End of the Day, Relax in Your Lake House

Out of the many Chippewa National Forest lake houses, the ones near Leech Lake are the most unique and beautiful. When you return at the end of a long, fun-filled day, you’ll be glad you looked into vacation homes as you watch the sun set over the glistening water.
