  • Great Stay! We'll be back!

"Our group of 4 (and dog) arrived on Saturday and were thrilled with the location. It's just far enough from Walker to feel like you are in the "wilderness". The cabin was clean and had all the amenities of home. The owners have taken care to make sure you have what you need, from linens to games to the basics in the cabinets to cook a nice meal. And a great meal indeed was had, we caught 4 nice Walleye on the lake to pan fry in the cast-iron skillet! There is a trash compactor in the garage which came in handy. It was great to go for nice long walks and spot wildlife as the cabin is off a heavily forested road. We enjoyed the eagle pair that flew by the windows each morning, the loons who visited a few feet from the dock, the porcupine and deer who meandered through in the evenings and of course all the little birds who fed at the feeders. We enjoyed the Lucky Moose and Charlies, and downtown Walker is a few miles away and has a good sized grocery store and several cute shops. Reeds was the place to go for all your fishing gear and licenses. The only issue that I can say we had was with the key that was left not working, but we were able to use the garage door opener to get in and out easily. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and will be back!"

  • Little Slice of Heaven

"What an incredible week we had at Shore Crest II! Bill and Marge are fantastic hosts -- they met us at arrival and departure and made sure we had everything we needed. This place is so comfortable, spacious and has absolutely every amenity we could have thought of. Special touches like potted flowers throughout the deck and front porch really made it feel like home. The zero-gravity chairs on the deck were a favorite spot to sit with a cup of Joe each morning while watching the hummingbirds feed and the sun rise over Walker Bay. Walker Bay itself is beautiful, serene and has very little boat traffic, which we loved. The private dock, boat lift, sandy beach and fire pit were all utilized and appreciated. Thanks, Marge and Bill -- many memories were made! We sincerely hope to return to Shore Crest II one day!"

  • Gorgeous Log Cabin on Lake

"Our experience was great! The views of the lake were spectacular, along with a dock and boat rental a mere five minute walk down the gravel road. The home was luxurious and very accommodating. Great bedrooms, family areas, pool table and a kitchen of a home chef's dreams."

Leech Lake Travel Tips

Put Your Feet up and Relax at Leech Lake Vacation Rentals

When you’re planning your Leech Lake vacation, the first decision is where you’re going to stay. To make your vacation to Leech Lake one to remember, look into vacation rentals. What’s great about vacation rentals is they’re real homes with living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms (plural!), and a full-sized kitchen. At a hotel, you’re lucky to get two queen-sized beds, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. With vacation homes, you can really spread out and enjoy your vacation. Most people don’t think they can afford a vacation home. The secret that most people don’t know is vacation homes are actually comparable in price to hotel rooms—sometimes they even cost less! And with amenities such as private pools, private beaches, hot tubs, and game rooms, how could you pass up the opportunity on VRBO.com today!

So Many Activities Near Your Leech Lake Lodging

Leech Lake has so many activities you won’t get bored. At Leech Lake, one of the most popular activities is fishing. Leech Lake is nationally recognized as one of the gamefish lakes. This means that it’s regularly stocked with northern pike, bass, blue gills, and more! Other summertime activities include golfing, boating, hunting, and horseback riding. In the winter there are many activities including skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. And all year, you can go shopping and to the casinos in the area. The Chippewa National Forest is a popular destination for the Leech Lake area because of its beauty and adventure.

At the End of the Day, Relax in Your Lake House

Out of the many Chippewa National Forest lake houses, the ones near Leech Lake are the most unique and beautiful. When you return at the end of a long, fun-filled day, you’ll be glad you looked into vacation homes as you watch the sun set over the glistening water.
