  • As good as you think

"This place is as good as you think it is when you read the listing. We had a great week on the lake with boating, fishing, loon-listening (yes, that is a thing) and just relaxing. We especially loved the screened porch and the privacy of the location. Next time we will bring our bikes since there's a trail connection close by. Boat launch is close by, and I highly recommend the new BBQ place in Walker."

  • Very Relaxing Week

"Enjoyed the stay and have to say it is hard to find a neat place to stay that has a pontoon boat and a canoe that is available to use for the week. This is a well decorated home with virtually everything provided. Fishing was good, and we enjoyed the area. There is a neat German Restaurant on Hwy 34 between Walker and Park Rapids, Mn. They have excellent German food and are well known in the area. Bemidji, Mn is not far away and the Bemijdi Woolen Mills is an excellent place to visit and find a variety of different clothes and woolen goods for winter. Walker, Mn has a large sporting goods store and quite a variety of merchandise. My wife and I enjoyed the area and the log home and would highly recommend this to all who enjoy a family vacation in beautiful Minnesota !"

  • Happy family

"We stayed for an idyllic three weeks at this property and were so sad to leave. The cabin is set up so beautifully to accommodate different size groups and have privacy for guests. Everything you need is there to keep everybody happy from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy reading spaces to the big screened porch where we set up our bean bag games. Rain or shine this is a beautiful place to stay. Also loved being so close to the bike trail and having a boat lift for our boat. The fishing was terrific too. We caught lots of walleye to eat and others to brag about minutes from the cabin. We enjoyed many activities in Walker too. So much to do for all ages but our favorite times were at the cabin, watching the loons and the beautiful sunsets."

  • Beautiful location and resort, but a few issues

"Our family of 21 stayed here for 6 days in July. The location is perfect - right on the water. Beautiful grounds and good resort amenities. The home is the only one that Chase on the Lake owns and rents and is three doors down from the resort. Marina and staff was excellent. Our issues were only with the condition of the house and the housekeeping. The home is two separate units. One side has only a window air conditioner, and the kitchen (which desperately needs renovation) gets very hot - no ventilation. The larger side is much better with central air and a renovated kitchen. Kitchens were not well appointed with utensils. Only basic things - serving spoons, one spatula, corkscrew and very dull knives (only small ones). Housekeeping was a bit lacking; perhaps because the house is away from the main resort. We had to ask for basics, like making beds, emptying trash, etc. Bedrooms on larger side were small, but very nice. Overall, our stay was enjoyed by all, but I would caution people who want to cook that they may want to bring a lot of their own equipment. I did speak to management about the housekeeping issue, and I sincerely believe that they will address that concern immediately."

Leech Lake Travel Tips

Put Your Feet up and Relax at Leech Lake Vacation Rentals

When you’re planning your Leech Lake vacation, the first decision is where you’re going to stay. To make your vacation to Leech Lake one to remember, look into vacation rentals. What’s great about vacation rentals is they’re real homes with living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms (plural!), and a full-sized kitchen. At a hotel, you’re lucky to get two queen-sized beds, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. With vacation homes, you can really spread out and enjoy your vacation. Most people don’t think they can afford a vacation home. The secret that most people don’t know is vacation homes are actually comparable in price to hotel rooms—sometimes they even cost less! And with amenities such as private pools, private beaches, hot tubs, and game rooms, how could you pass up the opportunity on today!

So Many Activities Near Your Leech Lake Lodging

Leech Lake has so many activities you won’t get bored. At Leech Lake, one of the most popular activities is fishing. Leech Lake is nationally recognized as one of the gamefish lakes. This means that it’s regularly stocked with northern pike, bass, blue gills, and more! Other summertime activities include golfing, boating, hunting, and horseback riding. In the winter there are many activities including skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. And all year, you can go shopping and to the casinos in the area. The Chippewa National Forest is a popular destination for the Leech Lake area because of its beauty and adventure.

At the End of the Day, Relax in Your Lake House

Out of the many Chippewa National Forest lake houses, the ones near Leech Lake are the most unique and beautiful. When you return at the end of a long, fun-filled day, you’ll be glad you looked into vacation homes as you watch the sun set over the glistening water.
