  • Little Slice of Heaven

"What an incredible week we had at Shore Crest II! Bill and Marge are fantastic hosts -- they met us at arrival and departure and made sure we had everything we needed. This place is so comfortable, spacious and has absolutely every amenity we could have thought of. Special touches like potted flowers throughout the deck and front porch really made it feel like home. The zero-gravity chairs on the deck were a favorite spot to sit with a cup of Joe each morning while watching the hummingbirds feed and the sun rise over Walker Bay. Walker Bay itself is beautiful, serene and has very little boat traffic, which we loved. The private dock, boat lift, sandy beach and fire pit were all utilized and appreciated. Thanks, Marge and Bill -- many memories were made! We sincerely hope to return to Shore Crest II one day!"

  • Beautiful location and resort, but a few issues

"Our family of 21 stayed here for 6 days in July. The location is perfect - right on the water. Beautiful grounds and good resort amenities. The home is the only one that Chase on the Lake owns and rents and is three doors down from the resort. Marina and staff was excellent. Our issues were only with the condition of the house and the housekeeping. The home is two separate units. One side has only a window air conditioner, and the kitchen (which desperately needs renovation) gets very hot - no ventilation. The larger side is much better with central air and a renovated kitchen. Kitchens were not well appointed with utensils. Only basic things - serving spoons, one spatula, corkscrew and very dull knives (only small ones). Housekeeping was a bit lacking; perhaps because the house is away from the main resort. We had to ask for basics, like making beds, emptying trash, etc. Bedrooms on larger side were small, but very nice. Overall, our stay was enjoyed by all, but I would caution people who want to cook that they may want to bring a lot of their own equipment. I did speak to management about the housekeeping issue, and I sincerely believe that they will address that concern immediately."

  • Coming back for more!!

"My extended family stayed at the Benedict house for a week in summer 2011. The house worked out perfect for the 15 of us. Plenty of beds and extra space if you need to throw an air mattress on the floor. The house and yard are very well kept and clean with everything you need. We had the perfect week with sunny weather every day! Spent most of our time on the beach or fishing and skiing behind the boat. Owners were very attentive to our needs and easy to get a hold of. Very close drive into Walker, which is a great little town with places to eat and fun shops. We are already planning for round two at the Lake Benedict house in August 2012. Can't wait!!!"

Put Your Feet up and Relax at Leech Lake Vacation Rentals

When you’re planning your Leech Lake vacation, the first decision is where you’re going to stay. To make your vacation to Leech Lake one to remember, look into vacation rentals. What’s great about vacation rentals is they’re real homes with living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms (plural!), and a full-sized kitchen. At a hotel, you’re lucky to get two queen-sized beds, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. With vacation homes, you can really spread out and enjoy your vacation. Most people don’t think they can afford a vacation home. The secret that most people don’t know is vacation homes are actually comparable in price to hotel rooms—sometimes they even cost less! And with amenities such as private pools, private beaches, hot tubs, and game rooms, how could you pass up the opportunity on VRBO.com today!

So Many Activities Near Your Leech Lake Lodging

Leech Lake has so many activities you won’t get bored. At Leech Lake, one of the most popular activities is fishing. Leech Lake is nationally recognized as one of the gamefish lakes. In the winter there are many activities including skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. And all year, you can go shopping and to the casinos in the area.
