  • A wonderful getaway with my husband

"My husband and I enjoyed 4 nights in the suite. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners were welcoming and helpful in giving us tips on places to dine and golf. We enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake and relaxing in the hammock. During our stay we golfed several times, biked the Heartland Trail, and hiked and biked at Itasca State Park. We also took time to watch the beautiful sunsets across the lake and listen to the loons. It was a very nice getaway!"

  • Retreat Seekers

"Our first "family retreat" including married children! This property was a superb choice because it was spacious yet cozy. Beautiful grounds that offered plenty of adventure, as well as privacy! The disc golf, mowed trail, hammock and "man cave" were big favorites. There is so much to do in the area, Itasca State Park is amazing! Bemidji and Park Rapids are both very close, offering choices galore. The owners were gracious.......it was all wonderful. We will be back!"

  • Beautiful location and resort, but a few issues

"Our family of 21 stayed here for 6 days in July. The location is perfect - right on the water. Beautiful grounds and good resort amenities. The home is the only one that Chase on the Lake owns and rents and is three doors down from the resort. Marina and staff was excellent. Our issues were only with the condition of the house and the housekeeping. The home is two separate units. One side has only a window air conditioner, and the kitchen (which desperately needs renovation) gets very hot - no ventilation. The larger side is much better with central air and a renovated kitchen. Kitchens were not well appointed with utensils. Only basic things - serving spoons, one spatula, corkscrew and very dull knives (only small ones). Housekeeping was a bit lacking; perhaps because the house is away from the main resort. We had to ask for basics, like making beds, emptying trash, etc. Bedrooms on larger side were small, but very nice. Overall, our stay was enjoyed by all, but I would caution people who want to cook that they may want to bring a lot of their own equipment. I did speak to management about the housekeeping issue, and I sincerely believe that they will address that concern immediately."

  • Great time!

"Brought my family from NY, and my German Shepherd dog here (so 3 adults, 2 children, and a large dog who loves the water) and had a great time. Great privacy, great lake (quiet, little motorboat traffic), cozy cabin, and attentive / responsive owners. Would absolutely stay there again!"
