"This was our second stay at the cabin and certainly will not be our last. The cabin is wonderful and has everything you need. Lake City is a five minute drive away for any essentials you forgot. It was unseasonably cool the first two days of our stay but the living room has floor to ceiling windows so we enjoyed the river and bluff views from the cozy living room. We even saw a few eagles and hawks dive into the water and catch fish! The neighborhood is quiet and safe which is something my husband and I value. The water was high when we were there so we didn't have a beach but the water lapping up against the retaining wall was the next best thing. Boat traffic is minimal which made our canoe trips enjoyable. There is a state park trail just a mile or so down the road that we hiked several times. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating. We spent some time in Red Wing on a rainy day. If you visit, you should stop at the Whistle Stop cafe in Frontenac. It is the quintessential very small town cafe. Nothing fancy but a fun way to support the local economy."

"We spent a relaxing weekend in Bluffview Cottage. Very quaint, beautiful views of Lake Pepin, SUPER CLEAN!
The cottage was well stocked, beds were very comfortable
We enjoyed the gazebo for late night chats and walks by the lake.
We visited before the summer rush (early June) and the town was pretty quiet at night but restaurants Barb suggested were great (especially enjoyed Chickadee Cottage). We also visited the Eagle Center in Wabasha -very interesting - lots of interactive displays. Great little bowling alley at Port 104!
Thanks again Barb for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage!"

"My husband and I were there for three nights. The condo was very well appointed and comfortable. The three flights up were killer with the luggage, just a warning. The view of the river is obstructed by some newer construction. A deck would have been a great addition to give it some outdoor space. But we enjoyed our stay. If you stay, I highly recommend The Olde Triangle Pub across the street as the food was great and the staff was friendly."

"I've rented this home twice and loved it for both occasions. The first was for a church womens' retreat, the second for a family vacation. What led me to return to this location was the way the house so greatly accommodates a large group. There are a variety of rooms with varying numbers of beds. There are several comfortable living areas, allowing for comfort and relaxation for everyone in the group. Having a basement entertainment area was fantastic - our young children slept upstairs and weren't woken when the teens wanted to spend time downstairs. The pool and hot tub are a great addition. We also loved driving around and exploring Welch. It has an adorable ice cream shop. It also offers canoeing which was a great family activity. Peaceful, relaxing, secluded...yet close enough to the twin-cities to save the several hour's drive most retreat homes necessitate."
