"Great location for a family vacation. 4 families from MN and SD converged on the house. Plenty of room for everyone. So many activities on site for the kids. They were either in the basement or outside, playing in the pool, with the tetherball or in the sand. Wonderful view. Fire-pit was hugely popular. Clean and inviting. Owner easy to work with. The adults spent most of the time relaxing on the deck, in the sunroom, or in the family room. Would definitely stay here again!"

"This was our second stay at the cabin and certainly will not be our last. The cabin is wonderful and has everything you need. Lake City is a five minute drive away for any essentials you forgot. It was unseasonably cool the first two days of our stay but the living room has floor to ceiling windows so we enjoyed the river and bluff views from the cozy living room. We even saw a few eagles and hawks dive into the water and catch fish! The neighborhood is quiet and safe which is something my husband and I value. The water was high when we were there so we didn't have a beach but the water lapping up against the retaining wall was the next best thing. Boat traffic is minimal which made our canoe trips enjoyable. There is a state park trail just a mile or so down the road that we hiked several times. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating. We spent some time in Red Wing on a rainy day. If you visit, you should stop at the Whistle Stop cafe in Frontenac. It is the quintessential very small town cafe. Nothing fancy but a fun way to support the local economy."

"This was the perfect place for our family of 11 to spend three nights around a family wedding in Mankato! The Suites were spacious, clean, and well-appointed (and fun to be in, with the large stained glass windows and nifty crafting rooms on the second floor). We easily prepared and hosted two meals for larger family groups right on site and it felt like being in someone's home. It's super convenient to have washers and dryers right in the huge bathrooms in each Suite. Our contact, Al, was great from start to finish, from supplying us with all necessary information to nicely mailing an iPad we left behind. The suites were an easy 90-minute drive from the Minneapolis airport, and there was plenty of parking for our many rental cars. We'd recommend this spot to any group traveling to the area!"

"My wife and I stayed at Joe's Bluff top home for three days this July, it was perfect! its not very often when you go on a vacation and the place you've booked to stay at becomes the highlight of the trip... this was one of those occasions. My family and I have been coming down to the lake Pepin area for 20+ years, usually in the fall, and we have stayed in many places over those years... the search is over now though, this is far and away the best! secluded and quiet, large beautiful kitchen, comfortable beds, big bathroom, a very relaxing living room with "the view" as soon as we walked in we saw the view that looked out over the lake and the bluffs and we were absolutely stunned! it was also a great vantage point to watch the huge storm that rolled in over the weekend, although my wife was not quite as enthused about that as I was, can't wait to enjoy that view in the Autumn with the fall colors blazing. Joe was a very good host too, was quick to answer any questions we had, even offered to take us sailing on his boat, at one point there was apparently an issue with the air conditioning, which was essential as the temps were in the 90's, before we had even noticed anything was wrong he contacted me and informed us that he and a AC repairman would like to stop by and fix it if the timing was good for us, talk about attentive! anyway, my wife and I were very happy and would highly recommend Joe's bluff house, we will most definitely be back... soon and often! Thank you Joe!"
