"We couldn't have been any happier!!! What a wonderful, comfy, cozy place to spend time on Beautiful Lake Pepin! Sharon was a gem of a hostess, even when we arrived 2 hours later than expected. Her and her husband have thought of EVERYTHING, and no matter the size of your group or the age range of people- your needs are met in this sweet cottage. LOVED all of the bathrooms!, and the decorating is darling!, but simple with soothing colors. It just echoes "RELAX". Thank you Sharon and John! We plan to return, sooner than later!

"This was our second stay at the cabin and certainly will not be our last. The cabin is wonderful and has everything you need. Lake City is a five minute drive away for any essentials you forgot. It was unseasonably cool the first two days of our stay but the living room has floor to ceiling windows so we enjoyed the river and bluff views from the cozy living room. We even saw a few eagles and hawks dive into the water and catch fish! The neighborhood is quiet and safe which is something my husband and I value. The water was high when we were there so we didn't have a beach but the water lapping up against the retaining wall was the next best thing. Boat traffic is minimal which made our canoe trips enjoyable. There is a state park trail just a mile or so down the road that we hiked several times. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating. We spent some time in Red Wing on a rainy day. If you visit, you should stop at the Whistle Stop cafe in Frontenac. It is the quintessential very small town cafe. Nothing fancy but a fun way to support the local economy."

"We rented this house 4 years ago and have been to one other place in between this visit and the last time 4 years ago and this house by far is the nicest house. It holds all of us and there is so much room. It meets the needs of everyone. The house has everything you need. This year we enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. I always let my friends know if they need a house rental around Red Wing this is the place to stay."

"We had 6 adults and found this place to be more than we had expected. It is spacious, clean and well maintained. Dan gave us a little history of the place as it had belonged to his wife growing up.
It is right across the street from the lake and beach area with benches to sit and enjoy the view. We took the 70ish mile view around the lake. What a beautiful area of Minnesota.
There are many wineries and breweries to visit if you like that sort of thing. We enjoyed many of them. The best burger I have ever had was at the Railhouse Grill" check it out. It was juicy and flavorful. reads landing is another great grill to eat at.
The Riverboat down the way was also enjoyed by all. Bar and snacks on board for an 1.5 hour ride with beautiful views.
Dan the owner was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. You will enjoy your stay I am sure of it.
If we come back this way again we will stay here. It is one of the few that are closest to the lake and it met our needs more than expected."
