GREAT TIME HAD BY ALL!!!!!
"We had a great time we were together for a family get together. The house was great only a block from main street and across from the park. We sat on the porch most nights to a great breeze and had some good talks. The rooms were nice and big plenty of room for everyone to stay. The bathrooms where great we could all get in and get ready for the day. I have to say that the 2 craft rooms where great not all of us craft but we could look at old photo's and play cards and had plenty of room. The basement was a great TV room for movies and we did that one night as well. The place is nice and clean and gives you a great step back in time. I will be coming to Lake City again to spend more time. Thanks wonderful Job!!!!!"

"The Bell Tower Suites has been the "home" for our family holiday gathering for the past three years. Although the converted church with its original stained glass windows is beautiful year round, it is wonderful for a gathering during the holiday season. When we arrived, our hosts Dawna and Steve had made the suites festive for us with Christmas decorations complete with an absolutely HUGE Christmas tree!! There were even items strategically placed for the little ones to find and enjoy. Special gifts from the hosts to our group also were placed in each suite.
The Bell Tower allows us to create family memories that would not be possible in a typical hotel situation. For example, cookie decorating has become a major family tradition during our stays. Everyone participates which makes for a happy, but hectic scene. The results are as diverse as those who participate. Now place this family event in a converted historical church. Sunshine gave our entire room a splendid background of colors sparkling through the stained glass. Now add the cozy fireplace for a perfect setting. Very special!
We rented both suites which is ideal for families with children. If the doors to the two suites are left open, there is easy convenient access to use both suites simultaneously. During afternoon nap time, the children could nap in one suite, and the other suite was still available for the adults to visit. Also, in the evenings, the children could go to sleep with parents safely nearby. Since our families come from five different states for this weekend, the ability to be together yet have the space to spread out is a luxury. The layout of the Bell Tower Suites provides us that ability. Having TWO complete kitchens available for making a large holiday meal for a group gathering is very helpful and convenient. The suites are very clean and well equipped. Hosts, Dawna and Steve, are outstanding! Response time to any form of communication prior to arrival was especially prompt! It was always obvious that they really wanted our stay to be perfect.
If looking for only two bedrooms, then you can rent only one of the two suites. If you are looking for a lodging that is unique, large while still being cozy, with especially welcoming hosts, and want to create a memorable family gathering ANY TIME of the year, the BELL TOWER SUITES IS YOUR SPOT!!!! After staying here for three years now, our family group can't imagine being anyplace else."

"This was our second stay at the cabin and certainly will not be our last. The cabin is wonderful and has everything you need. Lake City is a five minute drive away for any essentials you forgot. It was unseasonably cool the first two days of our stay but the living room has floor to ceiling windows so we enjoyed the river and bluff views from the cozy living room. We even saw a few eagles and hawks dive into the water and catch fish! The neighborhood is quiet and safe which is something my husband and I value. The water was high when we were there so we didn't have a beach but the water lapping up against the retaining wall was the next best thing. Boat traffic is minimal which made our canoe trips enjoyable. There is a state park trail just a mile or so down the road that we hiked several times. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating. We spent some time in Red Wing on a rainy day. If you visit, you should stop at the Whistle Stop cafe in Frontenac. It is the quintessential very small town cafe. Nothing fancy but a fun way to support the local economy."
