"I highly recommend this for families or groups who want separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The alternative to staying in this house is a hotel room: one room, no kitchen, one window, parking somewhere down below wherever you can find it. Instead, for a little bit more per night, we stayed in this three-bedroom house with two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a carport and a big back yard.
The Cozy Cottage is like a home away from home, even stocked with amenities I wouldn't have expected, in case you forgot something at home or have a long stay. I stayed for ten days and the owner was very good with communication and eager to make sure that we had a nice stay. She even emailed us about local festivals that were going on during our stay, which we took advantage of!
The backyard is huge and shaded by trees, there's plenty of seating in the living room and in the backyard for entertaining guests. Minor drawbacks are that it's a one-car driveway and there's no backdoor (access to the backyard is through a gate in the fence, next to the carport), but it wasn't a big deal. There are about 9,999 channels on the TV (I'm not exaggerating), and a TV in each bedroom and in the living room. The beach is a 1-2 minute drive away. Every restaurant we went to was absolutely delicious: Harbor View Cafe, Steve's Marina, Rusty Pelican, Pirate's Cove in Pass Christian off Menge and 2nd St, Rickey's in Bay St Louis off Blaize and Hancock St (they both recently opened in their new post-Katrina locations so you might not find the correct addresses on Google maps).
We will definitely be staying here again ... if you are reading this, you probably better book it before I do. ;)"
