  • Girls Weekend

"Latham House was wonderful. It was very comfortable and inviting. My group of 5 old high school friends had plenty of space. It was well appointed and we appreciated the bottled water and treat basket. Our only regret was not being there long enough to use the gorgeous back porch and barbeque area. It was just a few minutes from the Square and lots of great restaurants. (City Grocery, Boure, Lamar Lounge, Snackbar, BBB). Great destination for a girls trip or a couples weekend even if you don't have kids that go to Ole Miss! Already planning a return trip!"

  • Family reunion

"The condo was wonderful!! We had so much room and everything we needed. We had enough room to host a family gathering, which was nice since we have never had the room to do this before during our reunions. Brian was very easy to work with and the codes getting into the garage and condo worked very well. It was nice having the garage to park in! Highly recommend this property:)"

  • Another great stay at the farm

"This is our second stay; both times for OM football games. I am almost afraid to write this review because this may be the best kept secret in the Oxford area and this will probably put more people on this place for a weekend stay. Convenient to Ole Miss; Kroger about 10 mins away, but yet quiet, secluded and very well outfitted. The host goes over the top in making sure you are comfortable. Game day morning, deer all over the back yard. The rooms are big, the beds (mattresses outstanding), the kitchen, the den....all perfect. We already have it booked for a spring trip and working on finalizing which OM games we will come to next year."

  • Nice condo, quiet area.

"My husband, son and I stayed in this condo for parent weekend at Ole Miss. It was a good location and just as described and portrayed in the photos. The area was quiet and the condo was plenty roomy enough for the three of us. Would recommend it highly. The owner even had coffee and snacks out for us. A nice touch. Thanks so much for a good stay!"

Oxford Travel Tips

Oxford Vacation Rentals Are in One of America’s Top 100 Small Towns

The city of Oxford, in Lafayette County, Mississippi was founded in 1835 and is home to "Ole Miss," the University of Mississippi. It is regularly nominated as one of the Best 100 Small Towns in America. The climate here is good all year-round with long somewhat humid summers and short mild winters. Oxford lodging is accessible from Interstate 55 and within an hour’s drive of Memphis with its international airport.

Oxford Vacation Houses Are Ideal for Visiting Many Attractions

The affluent city of Oxford has an interesting history with many attractions commemorating its past. The town square itself dates from 1837 and remains the hub of this small city. Here, visitors to Oxford vacation rentals will enjoy exploring the unique boutiques, stores and even the oldest department store in the South. There are also art galleries, book stores and restaurants.

The LQC Lamar House is a restored three-acre site commemorating the life of this former Supreme Court Judge, who lived here from 1869 to 1888. Visitors can also tour Rowan Oak, the home of the Nobel Prize winning author William Faulkner. Nearby, Faulkner fans will find his final resting place at St. Peter’s Cemetery, along with many other of the city’s notable residents. While here, also visit the University Museum with its fascinating permanent exhibitions of Greek and Roman artifacts, 19th-century scientific equipment and local folk artist Theora Hamblett. Music lovers may also want to investigate the Blues Archive at the university, with an impressive collection of records, movies, photographs and more. Much of the exhibitions are influenced by African American musicians. The Center for the Study of Southern Culture has an excellent display of photography from across the south. The Confederate Cemetery is a small walled garden housing a single monument at its center. This marks the 1862 graves of over 700 Confederate and Union soldiers at the battle of Shiloh. An evening out in the city may include a visit to the Powerhouse Community Arts and Cultural Center where there are a variety of events such as open mic nights, movies, live performances, and more. Dating from 1880, the Walton-Young Historic House is a registered State Landmark and the Historic Burns Church commemorates the original "freedmen’s town" and the role of African Americans in the city’s development.
