"We were happy the house was just as described in the VRBO ad. The house was well equipped, it is in an excellent location, and the owner went out of his way to make our experience a good one. I like working with nice people. We traveled from SC to meet our daughter and her husband, who live in Texas, for a family vacation. We enjoyed the proximity to the water, the casino, and nice restaurants. We had a great time and would recommend the Ivy Vista to other travelers."Guest: Sam Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 27, 2014View listing
"The house is beautiful and perfectly set up for family fun. The bedrooms being shut off from the house helped us, because they could nap and we didn't have to be quiet. We'll be back hopefully before next year, but next year for sure. I would have recommended this house already to friends. Thank you for your graciousness."Guest: Fun in the Sun!! "We loved the location because we had a boat launch and pier. Perfect for our boat and jet ski. We had wonderful access to the Jourdan River which was great because we enjoyed skiing and boating. Fenced in yard great for our small dog and visiting grandsons. The home was stocked well and the furnishing were nice. Front porch was a delight to spend mornings and evenings watching the sunset. Would recommend to all and hope to rent again."Guest: Nala and Papete Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 6, 2014View listing
"What a quiet stay. Close to every thing. After being with classic cars with loud pipes it was a nice escape. I complement the owner:the kitchen had every item that you needed to prepare any meal you wanted. The neighbor was most helpful in answering questions. Well keep yard. The only thing that we did not know :which day of the week the trash was to be picked up. We will be back next year"Guest: Rosie Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 17, 2014View listing

Best Time of Year to Visit Mississippi
Mississippi enjoys a long summer and relatively short winter. This makes it a popular summer vacation destination. While most people still tend to travel during the peak holiday season of July and August, the longer summer season means that you can still enjoy good weather outside of peak season. In the summer months, the temperatures average around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest month is traditionally July. During the winter months, the temperatures average 48 degrees Fahrenheit, with the coldest month being January. The northern interior is generally more temperate that the coastal areas. Occasional snowfalls are not uncommon in the central and northern parts; however, it is seldom significant amounts and it usually quickly melts away. Most of the rainfall occurs during the summer months in the form of short-lived but dramatic thunderstorms. The Gulf Coast is particularly prone to hurricanes that blow across the Gulf of Mexico in the late summer and early fall months. The interior of the state usually gets the dregs of the tropical storms which results in heavy rainfall.

Here, you can tour his childhood home which is a humble two-room house. Next door is a museum which contains many different memorabilia items that detail his life. You can also take a stroll through town and see the fairgrounds where he performed early in his career or the hardware store where he bought his first guitar. For country music fans, you can visit Meridian which is the hometown of Jimmy Rogers. The Jimmy Rogers Museum in town pays tribute to this country music legend.
